Yeah that's what I thought when I saw the job opening. Ford could do well and he's from the area. Hope he gets it.

Kurtis Townsend, an assistant at KU for the last 12 years and WKU alum, is a name that's being batted around. Known as a hellacious recruiter and recently said coaching at WKU would be a dream come true. Resume is as impressive as any assistant you'll find.

I honestly haven't really read much or seen anything. Interesting. Everything I can find about Townsend makes him seem like a great candidate.

Stansbury would be a good fit. Pretty decent coach, but couldn't recruit consistently on the P5 Level.
Still made the Tourney regularly until he ran out of gas his last few years at MSSt.

Old and stable may not be bad a bad thing for WKU, from what is swirling what went down at WKU is really ugly and gonna be all over the national scene when it comes out.

Maybe but the NCAA issues might not turn out to be so stable

Ford is a more natural fit and also would be stable. Would have to stay there 5+ years before another big job came possible IMO

@zach_greenwell: Obviously this situation is fluid. But my latest information this afternoon is zeroing in #WKU's search on Dennis Felton and Rick Stansbury.
