Jalen Hurd at QB?

Saw him in an interview today..... Impressive young man with a QB stature, rather that a typical running back. Hope he does get some direct snaps from center.

Been posted before. Someone said he was quoted saying he can't throw squat.

He did say that he can't throw... No offense intended op but I wish everybody would quit trying to change his position! He is playing running back and Thats it.

Most good college QB's do start out as RB's in high school....
No HS QS ever get moved to other positions either. Rarely do high schools put their best ATH at QB.

HURD IS A RUNNING BACK!
THATS IT!

Thanks Tennkook, you answered my question without the snide remarks of the rude little piss-ants that posted before you.

You could I don't know quit posting stupid **** so you don't get snide remarks. You're the piss-ant honestly.

I believe Butch Jones said on the radio yesterday that Jalen Hurd is a difference maker will the ball and will not be asked to change positions

Why, why, why, why, why??????? Surely to GOD above this is some type of sarcastic thread right? I oftentimes really suck at detecting sarcasm on here. Tell me you're kidding.

Jalen's our sunshine, our heralded sunshine.
Please don't take our sunshine away.

Or just grow an honest to goodness working brain.
Not sure if you're kidding or just freaking insane.

We got two experienced QBs and a rumored Peyton II.
Putting a green and converted RB in, why would you?

Seems you think you know better than the coach.
Your suggestion just makes us flinch and say "Ouch!"

Please don't take our sunshine away.

This reminds me of Lucas Taylor when he was at UT. I had friends on the team at the time that told me he definitely had a very strong arm and was capable of throwing long balls with both his left and right arm. I think we only used him twice ever where he threw the ball and both were touchdowns. Here's one of his throws to Coker. Man that was a combo...

Anyway, I don't know enough about Jalen Hurd's throwing ability but I guess as others have stated on here, he can't throw.

The number one thing high schools do, is put the most athletic kid at qb... that's small high school football 101.

Sentence one is pure gold. Would've left a like if sentence two was left off. Second sentence lacks "snideness".

OK - fair response. I have not hurd that or read that about hurd.

And just curious, does anyone in VN have any substantive proof that Hurd could not be a QB w/the right coaching?? And not just your personal gut feelings, but proof?

Have you ever read anywhere that Hurd has played QB in his life? If he has then you might have a point.

There was a big tight end we had in the '90s that had a cannon - was it Von Reeves? They let him throw once in a game on a quick toss to him and he threw it on a rope 35 yards for a TD. Anyone else remember that?
