I could be dead wrong but it's still my opinion. I'm the sheriff of my mind after all. Rather that just nitpicking on one thing you didn't like in my post, any comment on the nicer things I said about Hurd?

Dont get me wrong, I'm very happy with getting Hurd. But, Ill believe it after next Singing Day. I cant get my hopes up, only for Urban or Saban to ruin them.

All I am saying that when it got close to signing day he would have picked UT anyway no matter who the coach was Fulmer,Kiffin,Dooley or Jones.

Yes I think CBJ is doing a great job but in these cases I think the University of Tennessee get most of the credit. Sorry if that upsets anyone.

Keep trying. You will continue to try to find some way to discredit the Tennessee football program , but it will be very difficult. We need posters like you like we need another Alabama LB coach trying to install the 4-3 defense.

Yeah alot can change between now and signing day. I never get my hopes up too much when it comes to a commitment. Still, this has to be the best week of news we've had since Butch Jones was hired (and really, it was hard to get your hopes up for three years before that, since you always knew the guy in charge was a loser). It's a good opportunity to at least feel optimistic.

Runs high, not behind his pads-in the SEC that will cost him big time. Seems to break tackles fairly often. Catches passes really well. I predict he will come in wanting to be a RB but it is too obvious that he's WR material and a darn good one to boot.

:) Or...he'll come in and get coached up to keep his pads down, stay behind them and dont dance in the hole. In which case he could end up being a 5* running back!

Where are you getting this from? Hurd never openly expressed much interest in TN until Jones started recruting him. I have friends that went to Beech and know alot about him. Hurd didnt grow up loving the vols and he's not a legacy. Even the most optimistic Vols fans and media members didn't think we were going to get this kid when he was running for 7TDs during the champ game. This was a product of Jones, staff, Kelley JR and SR, and Hurd to recognize that TN was a good fit. I'm not saying Dooley couldn't have landed him but Kelley Sr, JR, and Hurd made it clear that last year the thought of TN wasn't a positive one in their mind.

Hey Champy how are they spinning it up there in your area. A local OSU fan just told me that OSU wasn't really recruiting him very hard. Yea right.:loco:

He kinda runs like Arian Foster runs (the Texans version). Powerful, upright, long strides and enough wiggle to make you miss....then he's gone.
