Jalen hurd has committed to UT!!!

I must have missed something. This is the first time I have heard he was a firm commit to Ohio State. But anyway I believe that the commit from Hurd, Todd Kelly Jr., Wharton and Creamer was more about their love for UT footbal than who the coach is or was. Yes I think CBJ is doing a great job but in these cases I think the University of Tennessee get most of the credit. Sorry if that upsets anyone.

Lol okay, as I said and a dozen more have as well Tenneessee was off the table for Hurd because of Dooley and staff. As for Kelly Jr, I heard Kelly Sr say on a radio interview someone posted earlier this week that
KellyJr would NOT have been coming to UT if Dooley was still the coach. But you go ahead and ignore the facts.

I think you make a good point. Obviously, Jones is using this to his advantage while Dooley did not.

However, Tennessee should recruit itself, especially to in-state kids.

I think he was still shopping around (obviously) but the point is Tennessee was not a contender. He was looking at other schools, any other school. Then, BAM! UT gets the homerun.

Welcome to the Big-Big Orange!!!!

Jones gets full credit for each and every recruit that has committed so far. They are buying into UT and Jones/staff. Period. Now if they can just surprise the world on the field this next season the rebuild will be complete.

C'mon, Dillon. You know it's time.

I'm thinking Dooley probably laid the groundwork for this. You know, with all that powerful in state recruiting he was doing. Butch just reaped the bounty of all his hard work.

:eek:lol:

One thing I have noticed is since KellyJr and now Hurd today other recruits twitters are starting to chatter about the Vols.

One thing that may be lost in the excitement is that he plans to enroll in December so he gets a Spring Practice under his belt!

Don`t get me wrong.....I`m really pumped about CBJ, Hurd would have been a Vol no matter who the coach was.

All committments this time of year are from kids who have the school chosen for life. It's the Jan/Feb ones who can be chalked up to the coaching staff. CBJ hasn't had time to effectively recruit yet. He'll get his chance, but it hasn't happened yet.

But these are kids who said they wouldn't have come if the prior coaching staff was here. Jones is bringing these kids HOME!

I don't know about that. There's a recruiting video of him from September or October where he doesn't even mention the Vols when asked what schools he's considering. The only snippet you get of the Vols is when the interviewer basically has to interject and ask about the UT-Florida game he had just attended. Maybe just a smokescreen, but when you consider TKSr.'s comments that Jr. wouldn't have committed to UT had Dooley still been here, I doubt Hurd would have either.

Thank you Rowdy. Saved me some Typing.

I like how these opposing fans are up in here crapping on our parade even though we've had nothing to cheer for the past half decade or more and they've all had everything to cheer for. I'm starting to sense their growing fear.
