This is an erroneous statement. Vonn Bell was a Vol fan all of his life and where is he attending college this fall? The coaching staff is what is sealing these deals and sealing them early, not their growing up watching them. Early commitments means that the players are completely sold on the program and the coach, and that their parents are completely sold also. If not, they would be advising them to ride the process out and weigh their options. Don't sell short what CBJ is doing.

A few in-state recruits don't put fear in most college football fans. We just signed a class of 33 and I don't think anyone's afraid of UGA. The proof comes when the HC has had a few games under his belt. Excitement is great when tempered with reality. Better to keep expectations at a reasonable level and let the coaching staff prove themselves. Then when that first loss comes, fans aren't calling for coaches heads.

Life's a Butch ain't it? This kid has power and 4.37 40. Each player that commits starts recruiting other players and it is snowballing! As CBJ said a sleeping giant is waking up.

My take after watching his video:

Patient runner. Picks holes even in traffic and slips through. Is sort of slow for a RB but by the time you catch up with him he has eaten up big yardage. Runs high, not behind his pads-in the SEC that will cost him big time. Seems to break tackles fairly often. Catches passes really well. I predict he will come in wanting to be a RB but it is too obvious that he's WR material and a darn good one to boot.

I just read a really great acticle on the Tennessean.com that he now weights 230 pds up from 210 and was at the weight he wanted to be. It also said he broke the State Single rushing record in 2012 at 3357 yards even though he sat out almost 3 games with a shoulder injury. But came back in the playoffs rushing 1,384 yards and 17 scores in the Class 5A playoffs!!! He also had a 394-yard, 7 touchdown effort in his HS state championship victory over Columbia Central also broke BlueCross Bowl records

Now that is the kind of RB we have needed for so long!!!

Clearly people like Jalen Hurd and Todd Kelly, Jr. have an affinity for Tennessee from the get go, but how many times have we heard of kids growing up as Vol fans and choosing to go somewhere else here in recent years? That's the difference with guys like Hurd and Kelly. That's the difference Butch Jones and his staff are making.

Wow, I'm pumped up.
