Have we really resorted to talking about Vandy at least once every single day? Who cares what they do? We're Tennessee! VolNation is a Tennessee site! If you want to talk Vandy, then go join a Vandy board... If one even exists. This is our state, and Vandy is our whipping boy. They always have been, and they always will be!

Gerry DiNardo also had no respect for the Power T, but he learned . . . to the tune of 45-0 (1991), 62-14 (1993) and 65-0 (1994). Tennessee vs Vanderbilt 1869-2011 He lost the four games he coached against us by the combined score of 201-39.

This really is nothing new. Gerry DiNardo referred to UT as "that school to the East" when he coached at Vandy.

It is a shame that so much time is spent discussing Vandy on here. Here I am adding to it. LOL.

I'm curious: why do we as Tennessee fans give Vanderbilt so much attention? I never cared about Vanderbilt before and I totally don't care about them now.

SHUT UP ABOUT HIM....He is the ultimate troll and some of you tards just need to move on and ignore it. The guy coaches for Vandy, therefore has no history or tradition to work with so he pulls the Kiffin approach of making news by pissing people off.

Because they beat the hell out of us, have taken recruits that normally would have gone to UT by default, and finished 9-4 and in the AP Top 25 last season?

Vandy is a legitimate threat to UT right now, both on and off the field. Beating them this year is no guarantee. In fact, it's probably a coin flip.

That said, I do think CBJ is already locking down the state in his first full recruiting cycle. But Vandy is THE must-win game of the year. UT's ascension can't fully begin until Vandy is snuffed out.

From the way some people talk about franklin and vandy, you would think that it was the second coming of spurrier and the gators of the 90s.

Franklin is a douche no matter what. And Vandy is going to always wish they were Tennessee no matter what. Dooley making that comment did not change that.

If you're scared of Franklin you need to say you're scared of Franklin. Don't blame Dooley for "awakening the sleeping 15-11 giant" just for making a comment (that he didn't even make to the public).

Franklin is 1-1 against two 5-7 UT teams. That's insult to him enough.

Go be scared somewhere else.

Who gives a sh** about James Franklin or anything he says??? Vanderbilt is bush league and has always been bush league! So, what if they do beat Tennessee once or twice every 40 or so years?
