Look, the guys despised because he's a petulant arrogant noclass ass. Anybody who listened to his interview on 104.5 in Nashville today can readily attest to that if there was ever any doubt. So yeah, he's a popular subject on these boards for a lot of us to spew our hatred at. Far from the most important one, but one nonetheless.

If he's getting under the skin of opposing fans then he's doing his job. There were a lot of people who loved it when Kiffin was doing the same thing. Hell, Urban Meyer spent his entire post game presser apologizing for only beating UT by 10.

I've seen some of Franklin's pressers and he doesn't seem that bad. Maybe he's different on the radio. Remember, any attention (good or bad) is attention.

Franklin's a gas bag. Simple as that. He's a good recruiter, and a decent coach, but his arrogance will be his undoing.

Ring a bell, does it?

We had Lane Kiffin. They have James Franklin. We've moved on. They haven't.

In a year or two...three at the most...Frankin will (a) get hired by a bigger program and fail spectacularly; (b) have to get used to being UT's...and the SEC's...punching bag; or (c) get canned by the People's Republic of Vanderbilt for recruiting / coaching violations.

It is what it is. We're on our way back, and Vandy is on it's way back to where it belongs.

Go Vols.

Bobby Johnson was A class act. He also made it A point to never claim his team was going to win or build up rivalrys. Those are things U need to do to build A program. He was never able to recruit SEC players either. Johnson to his credit certainly layed the ground work that Franklin is having success with now. Franklin is also recruiting players Johnson could only dream of getting!
