9-4 sure as hell beats the 3-9 seasons we had before Franklin got the job! Vandy is finally recruiting and sighning SEC talent! Theres A lot to be excited about in Nashville!
Gerry DiNardo also had no respect for the Power T, but he learned . . . to the tune of 45-0 (1991), 62-14 (1993) and 65-0 (1994). Tennessee vs Vanderbilt 1869-2011 He lost the four games he coached against us by the combined score of 201-39.
Because Vandy is A threat right now and not an automatic win!
Fun fact about DiNardo, he was then hired by LSU, sued by Vandy, forced to pay them the remainder of he contract, and ultimately landed in a law school text book.
You have to wonder if the following question came up, and what DiNardo's answer would have been, during his initial post-hiring conversation with LSU's athletic director: "Coach, could you explain how you managed to lose 65-0 to Tennessee?" I need something to use for my "vote of confidence" statement to the Board of Trustees.
Vandy's best season in 100 years resulted in a win over UT. I applaud you. Seriously. It doesn't change the fact that Vandy is so bad, a loss to them gets the coach fired.
Sit back and marinade on that, friend.
Now, UT's current coach beat Franklin and his Vandy team with mid-major talent. Do you really think you'll be a threat when he lines up with SEC talent?
Sit back and marinade on that too, friend.

I've always thought that as well. How do answers those questions in an interview?....AND STILL GET HIRED?

I do remember watching UT games when for whatever reason, the power T was upside down on the wall right below the student section and I was puzzled. The first time I saw it was in the Oregon game in 2010...maybe that's why. I was like "when are they actually gonna put the power T not upside down?" But that was obviously the least of my concerns...
