I don't think the coaches would lie to cobbs just to get him to commit.
I'm sure they've made it clear to him that he will play his best position whether it be WR or S. He will have a much easier time getting early PT at safety than he will at WR too. I'm sure he would be fine playing for Monte and rocking heads with Janzen...
Like I said before, we aren't recruiting strictly to positions. We are recruiting athletes. Orgeron talked about this concept in Meat Market as he was trying to rebuild Ole Miss. He believed the best way to rebuild the program was to just recruit athletes and let them fall where they fall. The ones with good hands will play offense; the rest will go to defense (paraphrase)...
Eric Ainge, Peyton Manning, Brent Scheiffer, one of those Clausens, Brandon Stewart...just a few QB that have won games as freshmen at UT, If you include other schools the list gets really long. Not saying Bray will be great or even start, but we REALLY should expect a high level of production from this football team at all positions all of the time...isnt that why Fulmer got fired? expectations?
Really???? Climb out from under your rock......
THAT IS WHAT COACHES DO!!!!! All of them!
Yay!
Finally people are starting to see the truth of what I posted and was scorned for a long time ago.
I would guess at least:
Ralph Williams (grades)
Broussard (grades)
Copeland (depth after he sees who we take)
Pair (depth after he is the 6th best OL in the class)
and maybe Delvin Jones who just wants to go to Miami after all.
awww...somebody had to sit on the bench while all the other kids got to play. and he was just as good as they were...just ask momma
