Jamie Newberg thinks we lead for Luc and Green (merged)

Here's the part of the article about Luc:

"I have to admit I could have been dead wrong on Luc. For the longest time I thought he wouldn't leave the Sunshine State. Now it appears the nation's No. 2 linebacker prospect could be headed to the University of Tennessee.

First it seemed as though Luc favored Florida State, then it was Florida. Regardless, it appeared he would likely sign with either the Seminoles or Gators. The Vols, meanwhile, hung in there and did what they do well - show patience and recruit hard.

It started over the summer, when Luc camped at Tennessee and immediately hit it off with defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin. Tennessee running backs coach Eddie Gran, who recruits south Florida for the Vols, basically handed Luc off to Kiffin. Luc stayed in contact with Kiffin and visited Tennessee for an official visit earlier this month (Oct. 2).

Did that official visit cement it for the Volunteers? Some say it has. Others believe there are three other teams - Florida, Florida State and USC - still in the mix. Luc may visit USC this weekend for an official visit. If that happens, I wouldn't exactly rule out the Trojans. Meanwhile, you also have Florida State hanging around hoping Luc will hold out until the Seminoles rectify things in Tallahassee.

Then there is a faction out there that swears Luc is staying in state and will sign with Florida for the same reasons he favors Tennessee: his relationship with the defensive coordinator - Charlie Strong - is solid.

What's Luc saying? Nothing. And that is why this one has been so intriguing, because Luc has never divulged much, if anything, in regards to recruiting and his school favorites.

The bottom line: Luc has given off good vibes to both the Vols and Gators. What will he do in the end? It's too close to call, but Tennessee just may be in position to steal another recruit from the Gators. "

I mean since after this year we can't say wait til EB meets him across the middle, we could now say wait til Luc meets them across the middle. I'm fine with that.
More than just his talent, I think Luc is the next Ray Lewis...the kind of LB that defenses have to account for every single snap, and hope they can come out of the game without him injuring one of their players.

If you add Elam to go alongside Jackson...oh man...

Orgeron really likes Copeland, as he is as quick off the ball as anyone...he's likely going to slide inside to DT. I think CEO just wants a really solid 2 deep rotation of DL in the class.

Hey LV, who is staying at receiver with Ambles and Milton? Assuming Green comes aboard with Cobbs and Meline, are we overloadind or is there some other plan? Aren't we after Dunkley and a couple of others, also? I will say the Green thing is early though.

We are recruiting Meline as a CB, Cobbs will play on offense.

yeah i heard good things about both of them...very good...but Im not saying anything this time...Ill wait til its public.

Well, I'm sure you saw what Michael L posted. And I got some info that said a few UT players were saying after the UGA game that Chaz was telling people he was all Vol...

That was James Bryant's info that he posted in a chat. Give the credit where credit is due. That was his tidbit, and is should not have left the chat, let alone done so with no credit given to him, and all given to yourself.

Idk if I agree. You may know a lot more than me, (not being sarcastic) but Michael L knows SoFla recruiting.
Meaning that he may have knew beforehand...

It emailed to me before Bryant had his chat. Most people in the chat still thought he was talking about JaWuan James...

Lighten up. We heard you the first time. LV pays for that info anyway and I know for a fact he never shares info Bryant says not to.

no way in hell we have room for all these guys being mentioned! who will we take?
people are talking about getting:
Chaz Green
Jeff Luc
Juwaun James (sp sorry)
Christian Green
Cody Riggs
Matt Elam

then we still need a few more o lineman and now dunkley is talking about visiting? this is rediculous! who would we take?

Remember, we only have like 16-17 solid commits. I wouldn't exactly call all of those solid either. If the coaching staff chooses to move on from some of those guys for better prospects, they will.
