Janzen Jackson charged in murder of mother's boyfriend

Just call me Mr. Kettle....

After your post towards me I guess I'm not allowed to have feelings or express them Mr. Pot. All the posts in this topic that are making fun and light of this crime....and you attack me voicing an actual opinion....and bring religion in to it. That is the shadiest lowest thing man. You have some more good book thumping to do....so here is a large pile of stones for you while you do it.

Stop lying. It was you who attacked me for having an opinion and a set of values. darn if you don't sound exactly like a snit I put on ignore. if you're going to lie, do a better job. The quote you have from me about feeling better now, was #125 of this thread and directed at Jacket-Vol. You're trying to make it seem it was you and OH OH, my gosh, I somehow forbade you to have feelings or express them. An oh gosh again, I'm shady and evil personified. Do better of of lying, better yet stop lying.

Man I remember him having some problems when he was here at TN but I never thought it was that bad.

He was dismissed for undisclosed reasons.
If you remember, he also had a prolonged absence from the team for an undisclosed reason.

This scenario doesn't sound like that. Thug life-rs aren't people whose family members call authorities about their mental faculties because they assume that the people are at risk to both themselves and others. Elliot Rodger wasn't a thug either. Aaron Hernandez premeditated murders and went on living his life like he was better than everyone. (Bad) apples and (troubled) oranges.

I am probably the last Thug sympathizer in the world, but the upbringings some of these kids have had are unlike anything anyone on VN can even imagine. None of us speak from experience on this subject, so pretending to be an expert on the morality of life is just that - pretending.

I think at the core is the fact we as a nation lost our moral compass long ago. And these days if you dare to mention that, you will be stomped for bringing it up.

That woman on TV not long ago who was saying you have to have a set of beliefs of some kind as a guide to be successful and a positive part of society was dead right. But some folks practically damned her for saying it.

I'm just saying that what this kid is dealing with and what Hernandez and OJ did are very different scenarios

I think joking about murder, regardless of the stage or scope of the murder, be it two streets over or in another nation, is generally not a good idea and frowned upon by most people that are not ethically and/or morally challenged..

You have two types of people in this world. You have those who find George Carlin funny, and you have those that don't.

Throwing around expressions like "ethically challenged" only makes you look like you possess a false sense of superiority.

If loving George Carlin is wrong....I don't wanna be right!

So we should blame his problems on his absentee father or the school system let him down? Those are typical BS excuses for pieces of trash like Jackson.

POST #41--Don't know whether to say it is sad, tragic, wasteful.......just that it is sad for all the family members involved.
It is all of those and then some.
BTW....I feel no pity for Janzen Jackson...this loser has had every opportunity to have a life that most in this world will never have a chance at....and could have cared less. If found guilty.....no more exit only.... :crap2:

Then you came at me with this "Holier Than Thou" insult of how I feel and belief jargon which started with a smart :shaking2: rude...

1. I want justice for the man he killed and his family and Jackson's mom. Murder is murder and not to be taken lightly. And I must agree with you that he threw away a fantastic opportunity which was a stupid thing to do. Broken homes and all that comes with that have negatively affects countless youth. We're still only scratching the surface at the psychological impact it has on people well into adulthood. Nonetheless, we are practically born with a sense of what is right and wrong so one can't condone an excuse for an act of this magnitude. Yet it doesn't rob me of an ability to pity for those who take the road not only out of town but into the abyss of no return. God doesn't dance with glee when even the worse of us insist upon a journey to Hell. Rather it makes Him extremely sad. 2 Peter 3:9
2. Unlike you, I pity him. I actually read the article and found his mom saying he had exhibited mental issues. That he had been talking to himself. Something is mentally wrong with him. When you go around talking to yourself, something is just wrong. Whether his mental state is due to merely some biological/ microbiological factor or the stupidity of his drug use; neither you nor I know. If it's the former, I indeed pity him. If the latter, all I can say is you harvest what you sow. But unlike you, I will not without knowledge of the cause refuse to pity.
3. Sad is it that an apparently decent human encountered day and person bent on one of the foulest and evil intents. Sad is it that the murderer had ties to our Vols. I pity us all. And anyone who has such a coldness of heart as mentioned in your post.
1 John 4:20
So it was you who attacked me for 1st for having an opinion and claiming I have no values. There it is....post #41 then you started in on me. Like you have a clue what I have been through in my life to tell me how I should feel or think.

You love fighting, don't you? And then whining, right? It's Ok, I know exactly what you need. Here you go:

It's not a pacifier, appearance notwithstanding. It's actually a mute button. Now, if you want to drag this on, you got to do it alone, I'm done with you.

You are done because I am right. You started it....I just proved it....I just finished it. Put me on ignore...could careless. Need to put your peyote laced poems on ignore for the whole board. There was no need to bring religion in this discussion....at all. And keep your pity...don't need it or want it. Usually folks like you that throw religion in people's faces are the biggest hypocrites of all anyway.

I don't get why we have sympathy for people who continuously make the wrong choices in life. Every single one of us has something that could make or break us. We can either better ourselves like Carson or let it drag us down like Jackson.

The moral compass of our country has been gone for years. Look at our leaders who lie, cheat, and steal everyday.

It's the fault of our modern hedonistic culture.

if he died tomorrow and his brain showed signs of CTE, would that alter your stance in this matter?
