I know everybody was reluctant to believe me but I have been saying for quite some time that as soon as Stokes developed a relationship with Martin that UT would be very much back in the race. There were multiple things he loved about UT (outside of the prior coaching staff). This is probably a very tough decision for him at this point. Toss-up that is too tough to call at this point.

Doesn't mean he's not going to Memphis STATE just because he's good with CCM. I agree with you on having a good relationship with him but when it comes down to it, Memphis players want to actually stay in that shyt hole of a town and play for the hometown crowd. He's going to be a Tiger.

Why someone would want to stay in Memphis in a horrible city at a horrible university/high school and with sub par faculties in a terrible conference is beyond me. But it will continue to happen.

but seriously, maybe family, friends, and the fact he might really like Memphis.

When UT held a sizeable lead for him (prior to Pearl firing), he did not have a problem deciding to leave Memphis. I dont think its a done deal to Memphis at all. He still might end up there. But UT is much more in the discussion than most people will admit.

The Forum is. But it's not even a U of M facility. They can't afford their own places to play--they should go back to the fairgrounds. That in itself screams second-rate athletic department.

Obviously, you haven't been in the Finch if you're dismissing it as well.
