This could be the greatest thread in the history of the VolNation basketball board. Time for everyone to start freakin' out and posting hours of video!

It's about opportunity to get on the court early with the best coach/program to get to the NBA. He will get the development he needs to get to the next level. It's all in whether he connects with Coach Zo.

I'm going to say he will be a Vol.

If he signs with Arkansas, I will write Mike Anderson a very nasty letter.

Isn't he a '12 kid? In that case, Tobias staying and scouts coming wouldn't really matter to him.

He really liked the way we used Tobias this year, so I think Tobias staying would definitely give him a better idea of how he would be used in CCM's system.

Stokes and Poythress 6'7, 205

Damien Wilson and Jordan Adams from the same school are both also interested in TN.

Archie Goodwin, Twymond Howard....the Vols are in play for some big names.

I would expect that in 2012 we will sign 3 and Stokes and Poythress are very possible as 2. We should have a top 10 class.

The young man is a baller and can play some ball, I think he stays at home but I wouldn't be shocked to see him play for UT.

Way to go out on a limb there bud....before Bruce left he was DEFINITELY our to lose...now that MA is at Arkansas he may wind up there....

Where are all of these "big names" coming from all of a sudden? Not doubting our program or anything, but it seems like everyone suddenly has a keen interest..

Who would want to live in Memphis by choice?

I kid, I kid.....except not really

Memphis is heading down the same road as Detroit....1910 since the population has been so low in Detroit....Memphis has a school system fight going on there that will KILL the city and county if the two school systems merge...folks will definitely go where THEY FEEL the best education is for their kids....Really good county school system...Really bad city school system....should be interesting....

Actually Pearl had lots of interest coming in the 2012 class.

Some of it is that kids want to play with other really good kids, and Poythress and Stokes are both extremely talented.

Another piece of it is that Tobias Harris going to the NBA will build something that TN has not had since Allan Houston, a guy who is playing lots of minutes in the NBA.

I guess the other thing is that TN has been to the tournament for 6 straight years, and it has to be considered a top 20 or so program. The fan support and the facilities are top 10, and with a relatable coach, I expect the recruiting to get there as well.

To be honest, I had no idea what 2012 was holding. Thanks for the info.

Very true. Luckily for me, I'm out this year before any of that couldve happened

I think that lots of people living in Shelby County will move if they merge, causing an even worse problem for the schools

I think it could work with the right management. Don't think that's going to happen, though.

Memphis. We lost him after losing Coach Pearl.

I dont like what they're doing down there creating such a pressure on local kids to stay and play for Pastner. I dont like it at all. Everyone is in on it, but whatever works for those guys.

We need to find new territory.

What a sneaky, underhanded strategy by Pastner -- convince local talent to stay home. What is he thinking? I think the NCAA should investigate.:crazy::crazy:

To keep the Memphis pressure off of him; most likely the spring of 2012.
