The pressure in Memphis is quite extreme so nothing is for sure until a LOI is signed. But this is one kid from Memphis who is very likely to leave the city. If he stays and plays at Memphis it will be due to the pressure and not his desire to play at Memphis. UT slipped a little bit because of the coaching change. Oh my lord, shocking! That never happens! His desire to play at UT went well beyond the coaching staff. After he meets with Martin and gets comfortable with the new staff we will make up the ground we lost during the coaching change.

Wrong. And Memphis was never a "territory" for UT. Really not difficult for Pastner to control Memphis.

Easterwood is a wannabe and has been for 15 years. Don't know why he gets so much notice on here. He's not a player.

Memphis had sweet 16 or better talent this year and what did they do with it? We had elite 8 talent this past season. Where did it get us. Easterwood isn't totally off based, its just that they'll be a fringe NCAA tourney team again. Pastner is nothing but the Ron Zook of NCAA basketball. He can recruit like mad, but looks like a 2 year old trying to put together a Kincaid 3-D puzzle when his team is on the court. I'll say this, in the next year or 3, whoever takes over for Pastner is going to have one helluva roster to work with for darn sure. Pastner is a lower tier bench coach in CUSA IMO.
