I just don’t care enough to be bothered thinking about the guy. He got a raw deal in a lot of ways, but he also brought a lot in himself in the way he acted on the sidelines when things didn’t go his way.

Thank you for the time, dedication, etc. but coming out of the woodwork and trying to rewrite the history of your time here is just as bad or almost as bad as the morons taking cheap shots at him.

And a lot of his issues were two fold - terrible, inept coaching and his dad doing everything he could to rattle the fanbase at every opportunity and prop up the disaster that the entire thing had become.

Long past time to move on. All we had at our lowest...what not to do again. Move on...

Several grown men are on the hook for a lot of bad things that happened to JG and his teams. They recruited undermanned teams built around JG. JG might have been a different player with some protection.

Those rosters were spotty as far as talent. No depth.

Interesting to think about what might have been had he played under CJH and this system. I've got no hate in my heart for JG. He might not have been the best QB to ever wear the orange, but he left it all on the field, for sure

I like the guy. He cared and gave his best. Playing for Tennessee meant something to him I hate watching our fans give him hell 4 years later.

And for everyone wanting him benched while he was here, as it turns out we can confirm that he was the best QB on the roster.

Love the message to recruits: “Please come to UT. If your career is less than stellar or you make a few boneheaded plays, our classy fan base will relentlessly pursue and mock you on social media for the next 10 years. But seriously, please come to UT.”

Let's be honest, JG's only mistake was picking UT. He had all the physical talent to be a great QB but needed a good coaching staff that could develop him. Instead, he fell in love with UT and came to a program that was run by Butch Jones and then Jeremy Pruitt while he was here. He had a new offense to learn every year and took an absolute beating behind some bad o-lines. The guy never stood a chance at being successful and what does he get? A bunch of idiot armchair coaches blaming him for the win-loss record. He would've been a lot better off had he transferred after his freshman or sophomore year, but the guy stuck it out...despite all the obvious disadvantages of staying...because he loved UT. I hope he finds what he's looking for in his efforts to be a part of the UT community again. The guy is a VFL and deserves it.
