Obviously the young man has talent but one of the reasons young Mr. Robertson has sailed up the depth chart like he has is his wrestling career. Here is an article where he talks about how much it help him with leverage and hand movements coming off of the line. He said wrestling and football go hand in hand.

And I'm as excited as the rest of my Volnation brethren about having a freshman start on the line. He will be a beast (more of), by his Jr season. Plus think about the things he can help the younger guys with as these next years come.

There was another former middle Tennessee wrestler by the name of Scott Wells that started as a freshman and had a great career here and is still playing in the NFL. If Jashon can follow that path, then we will be solid at G for the next 3-4 years.

Gotta admit being a little concerned about one thing...

What's the thing you always hear about a great offensive line? "Playing as a unit... instant communicaton... knowing what each other lineman will do in a situation... chemistry."

That takes time playing together at full speed. Obviously Jashon must present a position upgrade, but when it comes to playing as a unit, all his added strength, intelligence, speed, etc. STILL has to be in sync with the other linemen or the offense will sputter.

Also a bit concerned about his newly learned technique. Golfers spend months on technique, only to see it break down under the pressure of being in the final pairing on Sunday in front of a huge audience. Can even a guy this outstanding maintain all he's learned in a short time, when facing SEC talent in front of a big time crowd?

No doubt this is best for the team now and in the long run. I'm just wondering what expectations are fair to this extraordinary young man over the next 2 months.

Last years line had tons of experience and had played as a unit for years and well......... I'd rather go with talent over experience.
