Jauan Jennings Commits

I for one hope like hell he stays @QB. I seem to remember the last National Championship we won a mobile black quarterback named Tee Martin was at the helm and brought it home, not Mr. Stats only PEYTON MANNING! Can't argue with facts!

I love Tee, but this absolutely one of the top five most idiotic arguments I have ever read on this site.

Wtf has Dobbs ever done besides lose to everyone, that vandy game was an embarrassment.

Yeah, that touchdown run for the win...neverminnd. Pig had it called back for holding / block in the back.
That was totally Dobbs fault though.

Tee also had 3 years to develop that throwing motion he didn't start as an underclassmen? So how is what you are saying relevant to the fact I just stated! I'm excited to see a real mobile threat at qb and the last time we won a national championship we had just that so kill me!

Tee was a great QB in high school at Blount down here in bama...what are you talking about? He has always been able to throw the football

:td::td::baloon::baloon::hello2::fireworks::fireworks::fireworks::welcomec::welcomec:I didn't see a boom, so I will welcome the young man to BIG ORANGE COUNTRY, when did we start question 4 star recruits, a few year back we could not get a 4 star kicker, well we did but look how that turned out.

He wont play QB here. Look at his highlights. All he throws is slants and screens. Will probably play safety. Not sure what kind of hands he has but he has a nice WR frame.

Most of Gibson's throws are short throws and screens on his highlights. He could wind up at QB.

Welcome aboard Mr. Jennings I for one can't wait for you to take the reigns in a few years! A true Tennessee boy too, and he is really mobile it doesn't get any better for this Vol fan! #GOVOLS

Like with anything else it depends on which service you're looking at. According to 247 he is #1 and the top 15 in the state looks like this:

1) Jauan Jennings
2) Van Jefferson
3) Rico McGraw
4) Kyle Phillips
5) Drew Richmond
6) Jack Jones
7) Jackson Harris
8) Donovan Sheffield
9) Josh Smith
10) Joshua McMillon
11) Cameron Ordway
12) Zach Stewart
13) Alex Givens
14) Ugo Amadi
15) Keyon Crisp

Some people just want to argue but you're right that it's a good get...Now, let's flip McGraw and get to work on Jefferson, Phillips and Richmond.

The number 1 player in the state and some question it.:pepper::

Was responding to the guy that said tee could throw and JJ can't! Simply letting him know JJ has time to develop his throwing ability he isn't going to start on day one neither did tee Martin he was a senior if I recall correctly when he took us to a ring. Therefore you can't compare a raw high school kids throws to a senior Tee Martin? Get it?

Y'all are funny.

Everyone of you will be wearing his jersey and crowning him the first Heisman at UT.

QB

Mad boomage for this kid committing to his in-state school with that offer list!!!!

Why can't people on here be glad we just got a commit from an awesome in state athlete and let the staff decide what position he'll play? :dunno:

No if you compare Tee to JJ in high school Tee could still throw the ball lead his team to the state title if I remember right and the school was blount or Williamson one of the two in Mobile

No it shows that even against no defense he still struggles to throw the ball and he isn't even having to read a defense just throw the ball and he still is not accurate

And that's great if we are talking about high school ball, we are not lol! You sound like you are reaching beyond reaching! Either way every fact I've stated is just that. Tee didn't start til he was a senior so I'm pretty sure if JJ has the same luxury of learning and developing you will see him more as the signal caller in a few years! Good day!

Mr.Jennings, congratulations to you for coming "up on the hill".All here are happy about your college choice and we hope your football career and studies are very rewarding.Thank you again for coming to "Rocky Top!"

I'm sorry BowlBrother honestly didn't realize he was rated that high. I did look before posting but I think I looked at the composite. Either way glad he's a Vol regardless of position he plays.

Just so we are clear.

247- Ranked as ATH

Rivals- Ranked as ATH

Scout- Ranked as S

ESPN- Ranked as S

He plays QB, and wants to play QB in college. Heck, we even recruited him as a QB. However, like I said. He is ranked as a 4* ATH...Not as a 4* QB. Make sure you know what you are talking about before you start name calling. Just makes you look

Actually as the article showed you he is being called a 4 star dual threat qb in just about everything I've read on the kid so take it up with these reporters whose job you should be after all I do is repost what is out there as general knowledge. 4 star dual threat qb I'll take it.

Jauan Jennings

Jauan Jennings - Yahoo! Sports

Scout.com: Jauan Jennings Profile

Jauan Jennings - Football Recruiting - Player Profiles - ESPN

Look at the Position ranking on all of those links. Journalists call him ad dual threat QB when writing about him, because he is. I have already said we recruited him as a QB.

However, his 4* ranking comes from ATH and S.

I'm going to pretend that you just didn't say that he plays in one of the most competitive districts in the country....no just no....it's still Tennessee HS football which is outside of the top 10 of producing recruits in the south

You can pretend all you want, but the fact of the matter is it absolutely one of the most competitive districts in the nation. I live here; I think I would know.

Producing SEC players and competition are not at all synonymous.

Maryville doesn't produce D1 athletes consistently, but you're going to tell me they aren't a dominant team year in, year out, typically ranked in top 100?

They are suffering from short term memory lost. Just a couple of years ago they were crying because we couldn't get 4* recruit. Now they. are crying because they don't like the 4* we do get. Its rediculous! Can't satisfy some of these entitled fans!

Please stop...I'm from Birmingham and Maryville or anyone else from Tennessee couldn't touch this state in football

I don't see anyone complaining about getting JJ or saying they don't want him. The debate dumb as it is at this point concerns what position he will play.

Gotta think if Doobie was the coach that this would not have happened. Rebuilding the brand is happening very fast
