I wear orange and white as much as anyone.

If this kid wasn't a TN football player, half of you arguing "alternatives" would be saying "Dumbass kid should've just knocked his ass out and stopped but apparently got his jollys beating a knocked out guy. Dumbass."

It's felony aggravated assault. Someone got hurt and not just teeth knocked out or a nose broken, most likely, but beat after being down and no threat.

Dammit, y'all. TN is better than this.

You make it seem like we’re stating Jaylen’s innocence. That’s completely incorrect. We’re just not jumping all over some drunk college kid’s testimony until it is 100% proven to be true. Innocent? Guilty? None of us know. Including you.

He fell down a flight of stairs by his own admission. What was sustained from an alleged punch and what was sustained by falling down a flight a stairs? Sure half may only be wearing orange glasses but this is about the rights of the accused to me, not just about a UT player.

No I’m just saying he punched a guy. And likely won’t play Saturday now because of this incident regardless of what is or isn’t true. I thought I was clear on that.

It’s more than “he plays football here” it’s worrisome that a charge was even warranted in this situation. If we have no witness statements and just a story from a intoxicated male. He could have lost several teeth and got pretty bloodied up from falling down some steps and you can’t argue that.

That’s the thing, we don’t know know if he did! The evidence is there that supports your claim but the story doesn’t align. He may not play and it’s pure arrogance on the police department.

The story does align with Jaylen punching him. The why he punched him or when/where may not, sure.

Jaylan shows up with a bleeding, poorly bandaged hand (if he'd hurt it against LSU, our trainers know how to bandage a hand so it doesn't leak) and his gf "happens" on the guy who is out.

Have some pride in Tennessee. Jaylan McCullough isn't nearly as important as what Coach Heupel is building here. Get some perspective.

You think our trainers suck and can't properly bandage a wound? Doubtful. But I'll bet Jaylan sucks at bandaging his own wounds.

I’m convinced JM could be on video admitting to punching the guy and someone in here would be like “we can’t prove that’s actually JM admitting to it” or “he only admitted to it because he was under duress”.

Sure, he probably did punch him, but We don't know WHY and that's important man. You're ready to condemn a kid for something that may have been 100% justified based on the word of a drunken college student.

Broke something glass with his hand? Could explain it.

Its more likely than not that he punched the other guy but WHY did he do it is the important thing. You're ready to convict him over the words of one drunk college student.

I don’t have to explain and neither does Jaylen. He was smart to not speak to police along with his girlfriend.

The bloody hand could have happened at any time & being a former boxer I’ll add that if he hit him enough to cause his hands to bleed through a bandage he’s lucky to be alive.
