Yeah he all of a sudden decided he wasn't 100% ready. I mean really? Announce one night you will sign the next day and then wake up and decide to wait..............gotta love recruiting lol

I have said this for a while, I think Hardy is right and it looks like Kimani Young wants as much time as possible to ink a deal as an assistant coach. Villanova and UT are not going to hire him, but he could end up somewhere else up there...Maybe St. Joes.

K Young is a whore, and he has been using Zagsblog as his mouthpiece to try to get a position where he will bring Pinkston. I hate it.

His coaching is only bringing his pocketbook to new heights. I hate how corrupt AAU bball has become. I would be saying the same if the Atlanta Celtics team had their coach come to TN. It is wrong.

This is what the environment of college bball has become. It has been this way for a while. Ask anyone about Florida back when they had David Lee and Mike Miller. Might have been the dirtiest buy of a player(s) (Outside of anything Calipari does) in bball history. And don't think Pearl is innocent. Every coach that wins in college does it to an extent. I have no doubt of that in my mind. I have first hand accounts of things Pearl has said about recruiting that I am not even about to put on the internet. And I trust the source 100%.

What's the point of upgrading to top-notch facilities, paying your coach 2-3 mil, spending millions on recruiting when all recruiting is going to come down to is whether the AAU coach gets an asst coaching job and wheterh the recruit gets a Nike shoe deal?

I say UT needs to just do away with the whole recruiting process and just hire Mark Parker as the athletic director and Robert Louis-Dreyfus as the head coach. Time to get ahead of the curve on what college basketball will become.

I would think if Pearl was buying anyone it would have come out by now. There are too many people who are desperate for that info. Illinois fans and Hatvol could raise a princely sum for info that would ruin Pearl with the NCAA. I would think Florida boosters would chip in as well with the way Pearl has dominated Billy D.

T Smith was mad because we are NOT like other schools.

A) Who cares what T Smith is mad or not mad about. He needs to worry about his own game because if he doesn't get any better than he was last year, which it doesn't look like he has, then he won't be playing in the NBA anyways.

B) I don't have direct knowledge of any specific recruit he cheated to get, but I know he cheated based on his own comments. But hey, it is an internet message board, and you can take what I say with a grain of salt just like anyone else. I know what I know, though.

ALL GOOD SCHOOLS PAY PLAYERS! Sooner you accept it the easier recruiting will be to follow.

Why has there not been a Means case then in the SEC? Or a Kenny Smith?

I know a few players personally who were top 150 when they were recruited and who now do not have good jobs or futures. Why would they not snitch and make some money ratting out people who are in their rear view mirror?

I know some places cheat, but I refuse to believe that all of them do.

If someone claimed that there is a big time bball program where none of the players have tried weed I would laugh. To say that there is a big time bball program that did not have to buy its players? It sounds right...

I do not think Coach K has bags of cash for kids at Duke.

Yes but Coach K is probably the best coach in college basketball, that is a recruiting tool in itself

It is the agents, handlers, shoe companies that make the money , not the kids. They pimp these kids out and in most cases, if not all, the kid's have no clue what is going on behind the scenes.

I've worked the AAU scene before. It's the ugliest you will ever see when it comes to an amateur sport. It is 100% corruption at it's worst.
