I’m talking about people comparing the importance of “acceptable presidential behavior” versus decisions that get us into decades long military conflicts that cost trillions of dollars and millions of lives. If your point is the Iraq War, then you have completely changed the subject. I was talking about the behavior of Donald Trump... particularly on Twitter.
So to all those upset by the President's retweet of someone else's twitter post...
how do you feel about a democratic presidential candidate directly trying to stir back up racial tensions while pandering the vote?
The look on her face says it all..View attachment 217354
I think it's funny that Republicans are outraged when some guy kneels on a football field (to the point of getting it banned) but Trump can laugh about Latinos getting shot (right before a mass murder) and that is perfectly acceptable.
All the Presidents do it, apparently.
Now, our President of the USA is agreeing that a previous President killed a person. It's just perfectly normal behavior. Why, I'm sure they all did this too.
Yes, I believe there is a better candidate than this running for President.
All of them.
Everything is true except your last sentence.Nothing has been altered under Trump. There has never been a period in time when Trump's conduct wouldn't be considered distasteful, boorish and inappropriate and there still isn't. This has nothing to do with politics and it has nothing to do with the fact that he is by no means the only obnoxious person in American society. It has to do with the fact that Trump is in a high profile and leadership role and behaves in a manner which is an affront to common decency, ethical principles and values. This is not about politics.
Changing the subject is what you are doing... and it's silly. His policies are unrelated to his conduct. A President can strictly follow non-interventionism and even isolationism if he chooses, while at the same time, also not making a complete ass of himself every day on Twitter. It would only take some very subtle changes to stop being so divisive and petty. It would only take someone who wasn't so self-centered and undisciplined as Donald Trump.I’m talking about people comparing the importance of “acceptable presidential behavior” versus decisions that get us into decades long military conflicts that cost trillions of dollars and millions of lives.
I’m ok with Trump’s unconventional style so long as he works toward ending this pattern.
If you think the military industrial complex doesn’t exist then you’re not paying attention.
Do you know how long we’ve been in Afghanistan?
Did US troops initially deploy to Afghanistan before or after 9/11?
What President initially sent troops into Afghanistan?
Marginalize him by ignoring him. Don't read his Twitter, don't respond to him.Changing the subject is what you are doing... and it's silly. His policies are unrelated to his conduct. That is exactly what I was insinuating. 100%Yyyyyeeeeeaaaaaa I don’t think that’s what he was talking about or what you were insinuating.

And you are way out of yours. That is exactly what I was insinuating. 100%
We all benefit from the collective contributions of members of our society, past and present. For anyone to act as if they do not, to act as if they owe nothing back, is insanely selfish.
The let me keep all of "mine" and you worry about getting yours is so naively shallow.
It's the 2-d Flatland mentality. Depth is that key third dimension.
This is how it goes:
Trump posts a turd on Twitter.
All the Twitterites respond, "Did he just post a turd?" "It sure looks and smells like one." "Hey, errybuddy, Trump posted a turd." "Come look at it, and tell him he can't post a turd on Twitter!"
And then they retweet it to all their friends and the news media, accompanied by some witty repartee such as "**** you Trump, an ass like you can't post a turd like that."
Then the news services get "wind" of Trump's Turd, write a story about it, and everyone wants to see and smell and then comment on Trump's Turd.
Headline News: "Trump Posts Turd On Twitter Today!"
