Yes, he's a playmaker and showed out tonight. Vols could have definitely used him last week. Amazing how much difference one player can make.

gotta lay the blame on both the staff for not scheming up bandaids for his absence, him for putting heupal in a tough spot and the whole defense for never finding anyone who could step up and make something happen.

Both Banks responded with a great game today

Amazing that what you say is partially true but yet he still as a 4th year jr still has the ability to completely take himself out of plays

Jeremy makes a difference. Inspires his defensive teammates. Thought he was taking that near-pick to the house last night.

This. Vandy had a play on their first or 2nd drive around their 40 that went for 10 yards because Banks had zero idea where the ball was. He literally vacated the gaping hole where the play was designed to go just to run over and pop a TE.

I know PFF isn’t the end all be all but he does this constantly and it’s a major reason he is graded so poorly as a LB. He compiles plenty of tackling stats (which is a terrible measure for gauging good defensive play) and I applaud him for never shying away from contact but the fact that he is our best LB shows how awful that position group really is.

They are not good. They looked it against a TN team that laid down on defense and a bad Clemson team that didn't want to win yesterday.

I grew up before TN had a pro team so I’ve always been a Steelers fan, TJ Watt being out they were a completely different defense, I feel like it was the same with our defense, Banks being out hurt us. There were many reasons we lost to SC but the defense was definitely the main reason.

Just maybe the issue last week was they way to coaching staff took Hooker's side over Banks. Maybe both deserved the same punishment or neither deserved punishment. Maybe Banks is not the one that needs to be forgiven. Ever thought about that. We do not know the details of what went down. Good to see everyone playing together again as one again last night though.

Also remember folks, I wasn't alone in not really wanting the JH hire. But unlike this unimaginative guy ^ thereafter got behind JH because when all was said and done, he was our HC. And that was that. Now, certain creatures like this guy ^ can't and never will be able to understand that. I just wish him to know that....
