Jeremy Banks

Banks quit on his Team last week....Money my ass.

I feel you, bro, and i agree to some extent….but whether we like him or not, dude can play football. as far as money goes, “your ass” ain’t gonna be able to keep up with the money he makes on Sundays.

The real shame is, the guy is leaving, and very soon. Which is to the glee of more than a few. The shame? His detractors are incapable of breathing a sigh of relief and leaving it at that. Rather, they persist in harping about something we don't really know about beyond hearsay.

A big portion of our fan base wants to turn SC into a good team because they destroyed us. They are not a good team. They are a bad team. It was a bad loss in which we got destroyed by a bad team. It happens.
They are ranked in the ;top 25 and latterly beat the stuffing out of us as well as beat another top 10 team , Clemson. I think any team that put 63 points on us is pretty good. We didn’t beat 2 teams iwho ended the season in the top 10.

We did not lose because of Banks and there is no framing of the loss to SC that makes it ok. I don’t care if they are top five. Losing to Vandy, UK, or USC is never ok.

True, but to deny that something else was on most of our guys’ minds that night coinciding with the (coincidence or not) fact that Banks wasn’t there is putting one’s head in the sand. That being said, Rattler had a night, and we may have lost anyway……but there was some potentially selfish and petty mental preoccupation going on that night. Not saying that was the definitive reason for the loss, but saying that it definitively wasn’t is naive as well.

Like the framing that SC and us have even talent? That seems like a reasonable justification for losing to another team.

It did not cost us a win! The whole defense sucked that game. If Banks played, maybe they score only 50 pts

I don't know - a good hard personal foul early in that game might have saved us but only if Rattler couldn't return.

And Relax - I'm being a bit sarcastic. The whole South Carolina team played the best game of their careers when they beat us, and we played poorly. You rarely win when those two things happen in the same game.

I would generally say that's correct; however, between 2012 and 2021 Tennessee was 5-5 vs Vandy, 6-4 vs Cackalack, and 7-3 vs UK.

Sometimes expectations are the real issue.
The years of 2012-2021 are not the standard/ expectation bar that we would like to use 😂 that was the exception rather than the rule
