In BUTCH we TRUST! Stop bashing a young athlete because of his stars, weight or times. These guys are proud of committing and its a big deal to them.
Welcome aboard young man!

Some of them come on here and see what is said, like i was told one time better of keep what i think to myself could come back and bite yourself in the azz one day.

This staff knows what they want and trust their judgment...

Welcome to the family, Mr. Dews...!

I have seen so many of these posts over the last 3 years w Dooley. I trust the staffs judgement yadayada. Haters are gonna hate but w guys like muhoun, bates, and the backer from Illinois we are in on this pickup has me scratching my head.

That's what I'm saying. People get all excited over any commit that comes in. Then towards December, said player decommits, and everyone says how he would have never seen the field and that its natural recruiting attrition.

Well guess what, he's never going to see the field.

i have no doubt be is athletic. SEC athletic? kid is 198 lbs. he's gonna get killed unless he puts on 25 lbs. thats a ton of weight to put on.

im still scratching my head and u guys arent helping, doesnt appear staff is managing #'s very well. not big on this commit. but oh well.

keep the faith

No offense intended - and I certainly am no talent scout - but even without knowing what this kid did blowing up at the UT camp ----- from watching his film this kid is a take imo.

People - he is 16, 6 foot 3, quick first step, great speed, great instincts on defense, can play either side of the ball-

and he is 16 -- 16 if I were a coach half the battle would be understanding how kids like this project when they are going to be 19. This kid has crazy, crazy upside.

I am also going to trust the 247 scout who loved him more than I do the standard group of naysayers and doubters on this site.

I think CBJ knows what he's doing. If he thinks he can help put Tennessee back on top, who are we to question?

So by your standards, does that mean Dew must be an accomplice to murder then rat his friends out to avoid jail time? Then he will be all pro and all will be forgotten? I like it.

I don't understand how its a headscratcher when we aren't in the coaches meetings and don't get paid the big bucks or develop players. Keeping up with recruiting does not make us experts. IMO.

Not as much as you would think at his height and age.

Yes. So was Jim Bob Cooter.

Peyton Manning and Eric Berry were 5 stars btw

So was James Banks and Chris Donald. Just goes to show us that we can`t always go by stars.

Oh, Peyton Manning was not a 5 star. The star system did not exist when he signed with UT. But I will give you that one because I believe he would have been.

Yes, let's point out some anomalies that clearly indicate we should take every 2* recruit we can get our hands on!

Pure brilliance from the VN elite.

CBJ is not going to the state of Murland for a reach.
He can do that closer to home. Watch this kids stock explode.

The way these commit threads read you would think the entire program is at stake each and every time we sign a player.

This is one commit that I'm kind of scratching my head about, but I haven't seen his film or anything. Thigpen is the man when it comes to LB's so I'll just have to trust he knows what he's doing 10x more than me or anyone on message boards
