So let me guess this straight....

UT loses to a mediocre Alabama team by 10, a team that is squarely on the bubble and moves to the first four out.

UK loses to a bad Vandy team by 16, was down by 20 most of the game, and yet still somehow stays ahead of UT...and UT drops further too?

What?

The Vols will have no one to be upset with but themselves if they don't get in. FT shooting not only cost us a game today against Bama, but it also cost us in a 1 pt. loss to Georgetown and Virginia. No excuse except we didn't get the job done when we had to. I hope we get in because I feel we can play with anybody when we "bring it" ( and hit our FT's) but don't have my hopes too high. KY will get in over us because they are KY and the defending national champs.

Lunardi has always been pretty accurate as far as I've seen.He seems to get a couple wrong every year. With that being said,we had our chance today.Didn't happen for us.

I agree with the FTs against Georgetown, but we hit 5 of 8 against UVA, so making all of them wouldn't have made a difference.

I've been watching basketball for years!I've heard of Lunardi, but I've never heard of Palm.

It's probably because ESPN blows Lunardi up like he is the know it all of bracketology when in reality he isn't the most accurate. Palm is probably better.

I think if we get in we can knock some people off. Today was just a bad day for the Vols. If we can't I just have to say I am proud of how this team finished down the stretch. They could've mailed it in and blamed the fact that Maymon was injured on a bad season. Instead they played tough and got themselves in the conversation. Despite what happens we need to remember the toughness this team has shown down the stretch. Hopefully, the NCAA takes notice.

My gut tells me we pay too much attention to these conference tourney as far as impacting seeding and who's in/out

You're 100% correct.

You are taking a 3/4 game stretch out of a 30 game season as an arena that nobody plays at where matchups and who has a better grip of the arena shooting wise basically determine who wins.

I would just say look at how we have been impacted seeding wise or getting in by our sect performances? I would say something very close to no impact at all would be pretty accurate

Apparently this year we drop 5 spots while everyone else who loses holds serve.

The conference tourneys usually determine seeding more than anything.

Example. 3 teams tied for the big east title.

What separates them when seeding.....the conference tourney

Not really...think we lost 1st or 2nd round sect few years ago and got our best seed ever.

Because you were conference champ easily.

I'm talking about situations where several teams have the same record or are within a game of one another

Kentucky without Noel in road/neutral games:

0-5, have lost all five by an average of 18 points.

I mean seriously.
