I think the conference tourneys' importance depends on the circumstances every year. In the SEC this year, it makes a difference because so many SEC teams were/are on the bubble.

Virtually every single expert and commentator today has said the UT/Bama matchup was essentially a play-in game, with Bama actually needing to not only beat UT but another team as well; and that both UK and OM had to win to keep their own hopes alive.

The committe's last look at UT is going to be, they played Bama 3 times, and lost 2 of the 3 including the most recent matchup on a neutral court by double digits.

Ole Miss got a good win by upsetting Mizzou; and if they beat VU tomorrow and make the SECT final, which is likely, I think it'll be UF, Mizzou, and OM getting into the tourney.

So let me guess this straight....

UT loses to a mediocre Alabama team by 10, a team that is squarely on the bubble and moves to the first four out.

UK loses to a bad Vandy team by 16, was down by 20 most of the game, and yet still somehow stays ahead of UT...and UT drops further too?

Just another reason I have to call BS on all this minute-by-minute bracket stuff being done by Joey Brackets. He is so fos.

Lunardi Killed him last year. Plus I am more concerned about in and out not seeding duhhhh. You guys are pitiful. Plus the difference in the two is minimal by that chart.

...in terms of accurately projecting seeds, Jerry Palm was the most accurate by getting 36 seeds correct. However, the other three bracketologists landed 35 seeds. Therefore, there is no big difference between the four guessers.
