Strong's best win > Fisher's best win.
Also, Strong is playing in the Big East with Big East talent (a little less than Big East talent in his first year or two--Kragthorpe left a mess). Fisher is playing in the ACC with SEC talent. You can see how those are different.
I disagree, no win over the teams in the Big East is a quality win. As for recruiting, no matter what conference your in, you should be able to recruit great players. I'll take Fisher recruiting ability all day.
We will see who gets hired. I just hope we start to Win.
He did. IIRC, Lattimore missed the game with injury.
I do remember that I picked FSU in that game because it was South Carolina's second straight trip to the Georgia Dome after getting dismantled by Auburn, and I didn't figure their heads would be in it. They weren't.
Beef I totally agree but it seems as the great bammer AD we have doesn't want to go after those guys... Guess he can keep uncle Nick winning that way..
There are some really good coaches available. Patterson, Peterson, Shaw etc. All light years ahead of Dumbo.

Fisher trying to out-Fulmer ole phil. He is doing a great job of impersonation tonight. Letting a vastly out-talented team stick around. It bit his arse against NCst, wonder if it happens now....Oh looky there GT just got within a TD...
There's a lot check that, a helluva lot of speculation going on. Until Hart makes a bad hire I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Shaw will not leave his Alma Mater, where he has gone 22-4 in the Pac12, to come rebuild at UT. I don't see Patterson leaving TCU, he's turned down good offers before. Arky seems to think they're getting Peterson, and if he can truly be lured away from BoiseSt then we'd be dumb not to interview him, but I haven't seen anything that makes me think Hart is interested. Once again, Fisher is not my first choice, but of the realistic possibilities you can't say he's not a better hire than an Al Golden or a Larry Fedora.
If Gundy hired a great DC I would.
Many a coach has left their alma mater for the right $. And Patterson was very much interested when Hamilton hired Kiffin.

I thought you were all Strong? Gundy is a good possibility though. I just want, and have always wanted a good defensive minded HC. I am afraid Gundy just wouldn't understand the concept of how important defense is in the SEC. Big 12 $**T won't cut it. We tried that this year. JMO. :good!:
I am all Strong. I don't think Gundy will ever leave OSU
I'd love to be wrong. I think Patterson would be great here. My original argument was that you can't consider Fisher a bad hire, given the state of
things and the realistic candidates out there.
