Jimbo Is Losing Control of His Program

LOL how do you drift through a parking garage;)
Texas is such a big place, too. These city boys.

Back to the subject of billionaires firing Jimbo - here's the question... If you have a trillion dollars to spend on a coach, how do you get a better one? Seriously. They have proven definitively that what they would like to do now does not work.

I think given Jimbo’s previous relationship history he would prefer a nice, honest woman.
Men will trick you that.. lol .. I think deep down all men really like a hoochie lol Exhibit A: his second wife ‘Candy’ 😂 That, or things that are shiny.. you have to be like a fishing lure lol

Two questions. The indefinitely TAMU suspended players, did they fall prey to Ms. Mary Jane, or the lure of that Vandy Vape? Rumors are saying one or the other.

While Heupel WILL NOT tolerate troublemakers, will any of these dimwitted five stars seek to transfer here, perhaps under STRICT and STERN Heupel rules and policies?

I think they made the severe, career-ending error of thinking they were so indispensable they could do whatever they wanted. Then ended being dumped by Jimbo. Word is they are GONE. They can't set foot on any TAMU facility whether anywhere on campus, or off campus facilities, including apartments, laundry, etc. They're just gone.

Now, you anti-NIL folks, and those of us who did post opinions about the dangers of teens with too much money and not enough experience or sense, here we are. I don't mind the NIL thing, but the money shouldn't go directly to the kids' pockets, except for MAYBE very limited "metered" spending money. It should go into something like a supervised account, annuity, or something that restricts access until either graduation or a specific age. But then again, what do I know. NOTHING.

So, your idea is to meter the amount of money an adult can receive which he earned? What the communist hell is that about.

Although I see what your getting at, and I'm not saying it wouldn't work your way.....however who is anyone to tell an 18 year old "kid" (legally an adult with the same rights as you and I) that they can't have tbe money they were offered. With all do respect and I love my momma too death, but if at 18 she told me she was holding the money I worked for and giving me limited spending money, it would've been a major issue with me and just wasn't going to happen. In my personal opinion, there has to be some kind of educational material on finances given to these young athletes before they graduate highschool. Plenty of 18 year old have went to MLB or the NBA in the past....and turned out just fine being given millions. There will still be the ones that refuse to listen and still make the mistake such as these here in the TAMU situation...but as long as the powers that be educate....they've done their part....adults have to learn from their own mistakes and take responsibility and accountability. Learning experience for these guys for sure....and i dont think it will end their career.....just their career at TAMU. Noah Spence comes to mind as an individual who got in trouble at Ohio St so bad he was banned by the BIG 10 from playing in the conference at all....it was over failed drug tests for the drug "Molly". Ohio St. Continued to stand by him and help him continue his career elsewhere and helped him get the help he needed to get clean. Sometimes its about the adults with "experience" in life and maturity to take a step back and realize young "adults " are at a prime age for making mistakes in the world and instead of restricting them we have to educate and let then learn by holding them accountable but still teaching responsibility.

And if you have better ideas, Mr. Smartass, post them here. Of course, your aim is to ignore the gist of the post to suggest some means of keeping the kids out of trouble the NIL creates by putting too much cash into the hands of inexperienced, and lack of commonsense youths. So instead of sitting back on your high horse to snipe, suggest something that might help these kids to avoid TAMU-ism or worse. How about that, Mr. Oligarch Brat? You clearly intentionally selectively read my post. And explicitly so. Evidence? I quote myself: But then again, what do I know. NOTHING. Let's talk again after you learn to read better. Or, at least, less selectively.

This is an amazing implosion but predictable with out of control NIL money being thrown at 18 year old kids. Win the "recruiting sweepstakes" and can't babysit the immature egos.

I didn't ask you about the money. The two questions I did ask were:

The indefinitely TAMU suspended players, did they fall prey to Ms. Mary Jane, or the lure of that Vandy Vape?

While Heupel WILL NOT tolerate troublemakers, will any of these dimwitted five stars seek to transfer here, perhaps under STRICT and STERN Heupel rules and policies?

I thought the NIL would act a deterrent against negative behavior. You screw up, you loose your NIL money. After the season is over I would love to see NCAA football disciplinary statistics compared to years past.

I think there is also another problem in play with Mary Jane these days. It seems there is no consensus about the substance as there once was. For instance, I'm sure everyone is aware of the Britney Griner situation. To take drugs to Russia is probably one of the dumbest things I have ever heard of. The problem I see is that many influential Americans, even the President, act as if she is a victim. Like it or not, Griner is a criminal and not a victim as the media portrays her to be. This is just one confusing piece of the Mary Jane puzzle. The real product is now legal in many states and the federal government has adamantly declined to enforce any marijuana laws. In the states it is not legal, you can now purchase a close variant of the illegal weed that IS legal and produces the same results. Youth are as impressionable now as ever, perhaps even more impressionable with social media. The messages being sent to these kids are not what they were even three years ago. I do not envy coaches jobs with respect to this problem. I was glad to see Jimbo take an iron fist. I hope other coaches use this story to share the negative consequences that follow breaking team rules, no matter what others in media think about a topic.

We dont control any 18's earning potential. Heck there are at least hundreds making more off of being influencers/Tik Tokers/ or OnlyFans. What about movie stars? Basketball players can go after 1 year. Baseball can go straight into the big money. College NIL is pretty far down the earning potential of these others.

These are 18 year old young men. How do you propose giving them a a child's "allowance" on money they earned like that? And why do responsible young adults need to be treated the same as irresponsible? Some kids just weren't raised right. Some coaches don't do a good job weeding them kind out when recruiting.

I think UT got ahead of it and started giving financial planning classes from the jump, if I recall correctly
