I liked Jimmy. I thought he was the most honest politician we had since Washington, Truman, and Jefferson, not that they were perfect. I really did like Jimmy. But I didn't vote for him to have a second term. As I always do, I listened to both Carter and Reagan. I was leaning for Jimmy. But then, the Soviet Union was becoming more and more too big for their britches. I voted for ole Ronald Raygun. We needed a boots and stetson wearing, a pair of Colt 45s on his hips, and a squint eyed cowboy to reign in the Russkies at the time. Which he did. But I still really liked Jimmy. He was a man of integrity, not like the buffoon returning to office Jan. 20.

It was a good idea, and well-intended at the time. As it is typical of humans, it deteriorated into a bloated bureaucracy by both Demos and Repubs under successive administrations. They only tacked on stuff not meant to be added. MAGAs will never understand that they, like most humans are their own worst enemy. So yes, thank you for trying, Jimmy, as usual, human nature forked it up.
