Thats probably true for a lot of folks that are seemingly squeaky clean. I remember seeing Freddy Couples interaction with someone that changed a lot of what I thought he was like.

I think the thing that makes Clinton a relatively OK president is that he didn't GAF about anything. Republicans balanced the budget and it seemed like a popular idea? Ok, I'll sign off on it. I just feel like most other POTUSes wouldn't allow the opposition to have victories like that.

Clinton just wanted the path of least resistance, which isn't always gonna work out, but it was a good thing at the time.

He was fine with and very active in moving our manufacturing base offshore. That's a major blemish on his record.

Carter's legacy is he was the people's president from building homes to growing peanuts.
