I was curious if Tennessee was still a major player in the recruitment war for Rick. At one point, I was hearing that So Cal was predicted as the front runner but I've not really seen any new info on the subject.

Ungrateful fans blow me away. Both of the Clausen boys played their guts out for UT. Whether or not you thought they did good enough is not reason to say bad things about them. I hope Jimmy does come to UT. If he don't then I wish him well.

And I say thank you Casey and Rick.

No offense though, I'm right there with you. I appreciate what both did at UT but I'm just sick of having a QB with a weak arm that trips over their own feet when they try to run. Everything I've heard on here and elsewhere leads me to believe JC will never come here. As good as he supposedly is, I just don't think it will be the downfall of our program if he does go to USC or Notre Dame or wherever.

I don't think it will be a downfall either. But the kid is picked as the #1 qb in the nation. I don't care what his name is, I want the #1 players to come to UT.
And Rick was sure tripping over his feet at LSU wasn't he. And please correct me if Im wrong, but didn't Casey lead the band after a UF game?

Good point. They both won some big games for us and should be commended for it...no matter how physically ungifted either was.

:banghead: Geeze, can we not go a month without mentioning that name! I was hoping 2006 would start a Clausen-free era. What the heck did either one ever win (except for the 2004 Cotton bowl win against a pitiful Texas A&M team)!! We have streets named after Peyton and Tee but the day we have a street named after a Clausen is when pigs fly. :banghead:

You can't complain about anyone lacking big wins, then praise Peyton. Before I get attacked, I'm not complaining about Peyton being a Vol, he's obviously an outstanding QB... that still can't win the big ones.

I agree 100% Glad there's another Vol fan capable of gratitude.

i'm not what you would call a fan of casey's but he did find ways to win games when he was here. however, rick???? other than the LSU game, name another outstanding performance of his that resulted in a W against a good team.

Actually, we're still in it with Jimmy. I'd love to have him on the team. He loves the Vols.

I put my money on Notre Dame. If he's acting like we have much of a chance, I'd say it's for Rick's sake.

Speaking of Notre Dame, 1991 comeback there was a bigger one than LSU.

Is Brady Quinn a JR or SR? If Jimmy wants immediade playing time and Quinn's only a JR then maybe I don't put my money on ND... but I still wouldn't put it on us. I would GLADLY take him if he wants come here though.

I like slick Rick. But agree we don't need anymore

But I bet you won't turn down another Colquitt. Those jokers can flat kick. And I think they bring out their best against the Cocks. When a punter gets a gameball (2003 SC @ UT), that's saying something. Last year, Dusty kicked us inside the 5 so many times last year, that ref had to sacrifice his body to keep him from doing it again.
