I havent seen him play but I think Jimmy Clausen might be a litlle overated, he plays for a good team in CA, his recievers may be the ones doing the work, i dont know though, i dont really have the right to say, But he might come out like his brothers did.(Bill Walton @ Apr 13 said:Yeah Notre Dame is at the top of his list now. We are no longer being considered.
he also plays in the smallest division of CA football with 7 other D1 players(Taylor Moran @ Apr 13 said:I havent seen him play but I think Jimmy Clausen might be a litlle overated, he plays for a good team in CA, his recievers may be the ones doing the work, i dont know though, i dont really have the right to say, But he might come out like his brothers did.

Yea bad hair and everything, and even a worse arm.

It is amazing to me that any VOL fan would dog out any of our former players (for on field things). Both of the Clausen brothers came to UT and gave their all. Regardless of how well you think they did you should at least be respectful.
the big difference though is his brothers were coached by Sanders, one of the worst QB coaches we've had in a while(Taylor Moran @ Apr 14 said:with our luck, if he goes to Tennessee he'll be like his brothers but if he goes to like USC or Notre Dame, then he'll be some heisman candidate
(mattvols @ Apr 14 said:so we should never criticize players for poor play? If they werent good they werent good we can at least discuss it. There is nothing to discuss if we can say someone isnt good. All we said was the last two Clausens didnt turn out that well, and they didn't. There is a reason they are both Grad Assistants a year or two after playing its because no one wanted them. We respect them for them coming here and playing hard but we can still talk about how good they were. Now criticizing there playing ability is one thing but if we start going after them personally like out side of sports i see a problem with that like calling them gay or something.
