Wonder if Fulmer feels like a dumb a$$ for allowing the QB controvery now? I also wonder if we will have an opening for a grad assistant on the staff in the near future.

Jimmy's top 3

1) Notre Dame
2) Southern Cal.
3) South Carolina

That's old news. I thought there was something new. We got a good QB prosepct this year in Nick Stephens and we still have Crompton in there fighting for the starter's job. I'm sure we'll sign another QB or two this year. Personally, I don't want to see JC at S.Car. Otherwise, I wish him the best.

Yeah Notre Dame is at the top of his list now. We are no longer being considered.
I havent seen him play but I think Jimmy Clausen might be a litlle overated, he plays for a good team in CA, his recievers may be the ones doing the work, i dont know though, i dont really have the right to say, But he might come out like his brothers did.

he also plays in the smallest division of CA football with 7 other D1 players

Yea bad hair and everything, and even a worse arm.

I doubt his hair could be any worse than Casey's......or his arm any worse than Rick's. In fact, I know his arm is stronger than Rick's and his hair is better than Casey's.

What I read was him playing for and learning from Spurrier, he would adjust to the qb position quicker.

It is amazing to me that any VOL fan would dog out any of our former players (for on field things). Both of the Clausen brothers came to UT and gave their all. Regardless of how well you think they did you should at least be respectful.

And accept failure in the NFL like all the others. Grossman is the only one with a chance to change that.

I used to be shocked but it is a useless battle. You would think that the QB with the 2nd most wins for UT would get more respect from fans. They put on the orange and represented UT, that should be enough. Oh well...

with our luck, if he goes to Tennessee he'll be like his brothers but if he goes to like USC or Notre Dame, then he'll be some heisman candidate

the big difference though is his brothers were coached by Sanders, one of the worst QB coaches we've had in a while

I read an article about 6 months ago that talked about Jimmy being the star of a camp that was comprised of mostly the top ranked seniors in the nation. The article said that he was the surprise of the camp with his arm strength and accuracy. His father has said all along that Jimmy would be the best quarterback of the family. I'm sorry we wont get to see him in orange and white.

so we should never criticize players for poor play? If they werent good they werent good we can at least discuss it. There is nothing to discuss if we can say someone isnt good. All we said was the last two Clausens didnt turn out that well, and they didn't. There is a reason they are both Grad Assistants a year or two after playing its because no one wanted them. We respect them for them coming here and playing hard but we can still talk about how good they were. Now criticizing there playing ability is one thing but if we start going after them personally like out side of sports i see a problem with that like calling them gay or something.

that wasnt my point my point was its alright to talk about players flaws, we shouldnt not just because it would be in some peoples minds "disrespecting" them
