I liked Holiday. Solid special teamer, and I think he could've been a decent receiver in time (took Keyton 4 years to really get going). Certainly wish the best for him.

I wonder if they consider moving Dee Williams to WR now. He hasn't exactly found a spot in a depleted DB room. Certainly electric with the ball in his hands as well.

Hmm… for some reason, I thought athlete’s couldn’t enter the portal until Dec 5… has that changed?

If Josh Pate is to be believed, I’d recommend folks prepare to see some VOLS go to the portal either to test the waters or search for opportunities…. it goes both ways, I’m sure our coaching staff will be prepared to adjust/respond to inevitable changes.

I’m a bit more concerned right now on how we can hold our solid coaching staff together… lot’s of teams dumping their offensive coaching staff, even those with deep pockets (looking at you A@M).

The "Portal" isn't officially open until then. That doesn't mean they can't go to their social media and announce their intentions. It helps get a leg up on teams that are looking.

Could be he just doesn't have faith in Joe!! Sometimes the writing is there on the wall and right before your face. I'm trusting Heupel and Golesh if he's still around to come up with a scheme for Joe and hopes he improves drastically in the off-season. Hooker said it best, Joe's potential could be better than his.

aTm is looking for someone to take over calling plays for Jimbo and Golesh could do that AND possibly step up when Jimbo gets the boot. I wouldn't blame Golesh but I'd hate it for us.

I worry a little about Garner, who we picked up from Auburn, and his recruiting and coaching would be hard to replace. Freeze is going to need recruiters on that staff ASAP and might overpay Garner.

The portal doesn't officially open until 12/5, just a few days away, but a player can announce intent. There's also some rule about "getting in during the first window" of the portal that lets a player be eligible immediately.

Oi. I was hoping this was the fighting kid. I liked Holliday. He produced. Sorry to see him go. Surprised Calloway hasn’t announced he’s leaving.

I remember some WR hitting the portal when our QB’s were Dormandy and JG. I’m hoping this is not the same type of situation.

Injuries are part of the game so you need guys that can come in and be productive. It’s where they have an opportunity to make their mark and earn more playing time.
