JJJ and Julian going through draft process

Nuggets acquired the 29th pick from Indiana today per ESPN.
Okay, I told you that Yahoo mock draft came out 3 hours before my post and probably written the night before. So, what's your point ? Phillips is getting drafted whether it's late first round or in the 2nd round and he is not returning to college. Plus, KNS sucks, especially their Sports section

I think he was probably just providing some relevant insight on the pick you were discussing. It didn't seem combative.

Took this off an article in Saturdaydownsouth web sight. Appears that with the G league now no one needs to come back for that extra year college seasoning. You can get paid to do it if you have the potential.

8. Julian Phillips, Tennessee
Phillips, a 6-8 wing, is not terribly different from Walsh as a prospect. He’s tall, thin and skilled. But in 1 year in Knoxville, he scored 8.3 points per game, shot 23.9% from 3-point range, and struggled to define any kind of offensive role. Years ago, both Walsh and Phillips would have spent next year in the SEC, putting the finishing touches on skill sets that could make both 2024 first-round picks. Now, they’ll get a 2-way deal with the G League and try to learn these same lessons in Fort Wayne or Stockton.

The problem with that route is if you need more than one year in the G League you aren't likely to break through.

I don’t know about that. It’s just really hard to be a sub 6 footer in today’s NBA
He would still be with Memphis had Adams been able to return for the playoffs or if Clarke hadn’t gotten injured. Grizzlies needed another big to carry into the playoffs. I’m sure Chandler will get plenty of camp invites and land with someone on a 2-way contract at the least. Him being 6 ft, while it matters, is a little overblown.

What's worrying from a career standpoint for him is that nobody has written about him since April. There is absolutely no chatter about where he will end up, and he hasn't been listed on a summer league roster.

I can’t remember who, but either Windy, Woj or Shams when they announced him being waived said they expected there to be significant interest in signing him when free agency opens up. So we’ll see.
