Joe Milton III performance

Vols should find the fastest track man around teach him to catch the ball next year and just say run and tell Milton to out throw him to the endzone every play hahahaha
They should run that at least once every series when the line of scrimmage is on our side of the field.

Beautiful point is you reload straight to Milton with a monster arm and an understanding of the offense while nico gets groomed, bulked up, and learns. Ball passes from one great to the next to the next

That is always the goal with recruiting have a guy waiting so when the current guy leaves, you’ve got a guy ready.

It's his job to lose, and I doubt it happens. It's very nice to know you have a QB with the skills and two years in the system to take over. I hope he has a similar outcome as Hooker has, but realistically we may lose some production from the position. But it's nice to know he can rival it. It'll give the other two quarterbacks more time to acclimate. Very nice to know the all important QB position has a solid outlook for the next couple of years.

What'd help A LOT is if the defense can make a big, not incremental, jump next season. That'd obviate any drop off in the offense, if any.

Ive been one on here stating to expect a step back in the offense next year because Milton doesn't have the "tools" Hooker displays.

From what little I've seen in the UTM game and today's tilt against Mizzou, I might just be eating some crow (I hope).

I'm excited to see more of Joe in the USCe and Candy games.

The Milt Man delivered.

Passing - Joe Milton III 3/3 105 35.0 1 0 100.0

Actually, it was 60 yards in the air. Tennessee 35 yd line to Missouri 5 yard line. Announcers got it wrong.
Actually, doing a little math shows it was roughly 62-63 yards in the air. He was on opposite hash and threw to other side of field. Hash marks are 40' apart, field 53.5 yds wide. 60 or 67, hell of an arm and throw!

Zero, he has the strongest arm in the country, we are lucky to have him next year. Zero drop-off at the most important position. Yes, Joe can be that good, as good as Hooker this year.
While I certainly hope you are right that Milton can be as good as HH, I just don’t see it…he is an amazing athlete & has a cannon for an arm but there is more to QB’ing than throwing the ball as far as you can…time will tell and I hope you are right but I would pump the brakes just a little.
