It's really strong, or at least what I had in Jamaica was. I really didn't like it but I am not the biggest fan of fish so there's that.

I get tickled at my wife cause she'll say fish tastes to "fishy". I always ask her if she thinks fish supposed to taste like bacon or something.

What I ate was achi and sword fish. It's the national dish and it tasted like the fish was salt cured. It was very strong tasting by any standard, at least that dish was.

The best I can remember, it was terrible. It's been nearly twenty years ago and I really don't care how you spell it, It was terrible! The salted fish was very overpowering.

Some people just don't like fish. I'm definitely weird, love fish, shrimp, crab legs, but not much of the other stuff. Stuffed crab, oysters, or no sushi for me

I like shrimp.. one of the best things I've ever had was red snapper on a bed of rice and peas in Jamaica.

Sadly we didn't have any ketchup down there. I'm sure there is ketchup in Jamaica but not where I was staying. Some meals I would have rather just ate ketchup. I didn't always get to stay with sister Sam.

Probably prepared wrong. Ackee can have a similar taste to scrambled eggs. Probably more to do with texture.

That's what I was told and it may very well be. I just couldn't get past the overwhelming salty fish.
