I'm willing to give her a chance. But then I'm willing to give whoever they hire a chance. I have no other choice. But I won't be impressed if KL is the hire. Good thing I don't get a vote.

If she really wants to be a hc some day she needs to get from behind the mic and start coaching at a lower level or as an assistant like everybody else does.

If they choose KJ Harper recruiting may take a hit initially but she should be able to recruit well in the top 25-50 range initially.

You got that right. Just look at the past with UT hiring coaches in football, basketball, and Lady Vols basketball. We finally have a good football coach and basketball coach. It's time to take care of the Lady Vols basketball.

I'm using phone, otherwise I'd post the link to the 3x3 rules. I had no idea until looking them up just now.

The two games have as much in common as Hoosiers has to White Men Can't Jump. Or Uncle Drew.

It's half-court, 12-second shot clock, 12 minute games (or first to 21). 1 poin inside arc; 2 points outside. Only one sub available.

That's just for starters.

Because Lawson is demanding, tough as nails, very intelligent, and a great communicator. If you watch the women's championship game, you can't help but see that she sees things on the court that most coaches don't. Probably the best BB analyst, man or woman, in the game. She will be a great recruiter and will get the best from her players. She's about as close to Pat Summitt as you can get. She will energize the fan base.

The Lady Vol name does still swing some weight in women's BB, but, thanks to the past seven year slide, NOT SO MUCH anymore. You have ND, Connecticut, Louisville, Maryland, and a few more who have passed up the Lady Vols not only in wins, but in PERCEPTION. Recruits don't see the same "Guarantee" of Deep Runs in the Tournament any more, and in the past few years, the fire, desire, and the "Want To' just has been absent from a lot of these highly ranked players. You wouldn't have seen that with CPS, because if they'd had that kind of attitude, they would've never seen the floor, or told to leave.
Anyway, In MY humble opinion, looking at all the factors, I'll have to say that Niele Ivey, ND Assistant Coach appears to have what it takes to revive this program, and would be the best choice !!!

Dream on, you are living in a fantasy world just because she played for Lady Vols. She has no, repeat , NO experience, real coaching. Maybe she can hire holly as assistant coach. That would make a big majority of lady vol fans happy. Maybe she would be great, and I think the world of her, but can we make such a gamble ?
I say no. But are our options limited to ideas suggested by people who post here?

I tend to agree with you. She says all the right things throughout the course of a game that would make you believe she can do it.

I want a coach that is gonna crack the skulls of these prima donna elite players who have never been told no or that their **** don’t stink.

My wife works in education...kids these days need someone to knock reality back into them.

The obsession of pounding the ball in-low has contributed greatly to the decline of LADY VOLS. Our players need to be good in dribbling and shooting the 3s. Should we have 3 giants like Baylor, they can rebound the misses.

Kara is an alpha Olympian who can dribble and shoot the 3 ball. Doubtless, she will pass her skill to her players.
