I really hope this doesn't happen for our sake, but it does seem like a logical fit. Calipari would light a fire under that state like no other.

No kidding. They've run off two quality coaches. Those people don't deserve what that coach can bring them.

Which means that all across Kentucky people are wetting themselves, and turning in circles like a dog waiting for a treat.
Here we go again.

Haha, too funny, and too true. I guess all the wives in the Commonwealth have to wait another week to get any attention from their husbands.

At least WCN is back up with a bigger server!

Anything less than Cal or Izzo at this point is going to throw Mitch Barnhart into a deep depression.

i def wldn't want to go to KY. Especially if they're going to give a guy 2 yrs to show results. That's absolutely ridiculous. You have to give them at least 3.

That a meeting did indeed take place on Sunday between Calipari and UK. Also that Calipari was meeting with memphis brass today.

Looks like we will know if this is a ploy for a raise or if he is really interested very soon.

This does not look good...Andy Katz was just on First Take and said Cal wouldn't do it this time (nc state) unless he was serious about it...don't do it cal. Give me one good thing about living here

Why would he leave if he has an easy opportunity to make the NCAA Tournament and win his own conference. Which he has not lost in 4 years. This year alone, he has 3 and if John Wall signs that will be 4 players within the top 10. That is a ridiculous recruiting class, and probably the best since the fab 5 back in the early 90s. His strength of schedule will be somewhere within 60-100 next year. He will have plenty of time to develop the incoming freshman and he actually has talent, even when Antonio Anderson and tyreke evans are gone to the NBA.

Trust me if you are thinking just current situations, I would never want to leave memphis, especially not in the next 2 years with the talent he has.

I do not have a link but it is all over the Memphis site that he met with KY officals yesteraday and that a deal is on the table, he is supposed to be meeting with Memphis people today. Man I would love to see him get out of Memphis, but not to KY.

Come on Cal, leave but don't go to KY, or if you do please screw it up!! I want him out of Memphis so bad, but I don't want KY to have a quality coach.

Cal is using this to up his compensation at Memphis. Nothing more, nothing less.

With his incoming recruits and more money, why would he go take a job in Crazyland?
