John Wall Ineligible?

It's still a concern for Memphis because those players are/were part of the Memphis program and, therefore, Memphis was aware of the infractions by incorporating those people into the program. It sucks in some respect, but that's part of the liability of recruiting and bringing in players to your program. Their actions and eligibility are reflected in the status of Memphis or any other program. It opens an entirely different can of worms if a program uses an ineligible player and then the results are allowed because "hey, we didn't know".

That's just it, Memphis did not know. The NCAA ruling even says Memphis did not know or could have known. Not sure how a governing body punishes a school it states is not at fault and merely followed the ruling of said governing body.

I'm still waiting for the announcement that Duke's '98-'99 season has been vacated.
