We have decided to discontinue the anonymous forum on Gatorsports. We appreciate that most of those who visit and post messages on this forum have done so with civility, but there is a disruptive minority of forum members that requires time and attention we think can be better used in producing and sharing quality content. No, I am not making this up.

Lmfao. That's like VN closing down. Doesn't rivals, 24/7, and scout have jobs for covering information?

I'm going to miss the hilarious photoshopping.

Gotta hand it to Freak and this forum. Basically the best in the SEC. We all have the idiots posting but VN's FF is mild compared to GatorSports. Those mullet flippers eat their own.

I don't understand how it could be recruiting violations by our WR coach because, you know, we haven't recruited any decent wide receivers.

After being shown the door at KY, and now "resigning" from FL, I think poor Joker Phillips will turn up coaching at a High School soon!

There are a few rumors out there, but he was turned in for a "bump" recently by the Miami coaching staff, that's the only "known fact"

Miami also says that Joker gave a wad of cash to Brandon Powell's dad in front of his ex-wife. Ex-wife is a huge Miami fan and wanted Powell at Miami, and is supposedly talking to the NCAA about it.

Same Miami fans claiming this, state that a damning news report should be released on Monday...

Could get quite interesting if true

I think that to incur penalties the recruiting violations should have to be shown to actually have worked. If he paid kids and they still went elsewhere then you should feel sorry for us, not punish us.

Maybe that's why Muschamp let him go?

Couldn't pull any even with the extra effort.:dunno:

Pat Forde and Charles Robinson at Yahoo are reporting that someone tied to the Hurricanes turned over photos to the NCAA showing Joker having dinner with a recruit during a dead period. That's a major violation.

I can truly see him winding back up in his hometown of Franklin, KY as OC for Franklin-Simpson HS. Won't surprise me in the least.

Maybe you're joking but i'm sure he'll get a job way better than that.

Why and how? He failed miserably as a HC, struggled to recruit his position well at UF of all places, couldn't get productivity out of his position players and may have violations attached to his name when it's all said and done. He may be lucky to get a HS position.

Hopefully for UF, he did it on his own and not with their backing. Just like the 2 hostesses that went rogue on us and attended the South Carolina high school football game to see some recruits.
