Hopefully for UF, he did it on his own and not with their backing. Just like the 2 hostesses that went rogue on us and attended the South Carolina high school football game to see some recruits.
Joker was a coach, doesn't matter a bit past that. Coaches ALWAYS represent the school in an official capacity, especially the recruiting coordinator..I find it completely ironic that the U actually did the squealing. Here's another link if anybody is interested:

Yahoo! Sports, citing multiple sources, reported Thursday that Phillips resigned after the NCAA received a photo of him with a recruit at a restaurant during a mandatory dead period in recruiting. The website reported that the photo was provided to the NCAA by someone with ties to the Miami Hurricanes athletics program.
