Titan&Volfan, I love how you like to capitalize FACT in your posts and yet you ignore plenty of them in making your arguments.

I'm not going to go into all your inconsistencies and ignoring of crucial information because you will never be convinced.

I'm not saying Gruden will be our next coach although I know what I am hearing. However, to say he wouldnt be a great coach or that he wasn't a very good coach is beyond crazy.

Headed to the bar to watch my beloved VOLS. Later boys.

Have fun and be careful, don't do anything I wouldn't do!:naughty:

I love going to sports bars and watching games and eating/drinking until you are to bust.

He's Dave Hart's top target, and he'll have a ton of money thrown at him. UT has a shot.

I'm not sure if Gruden will be on the sidelines in Knoxville next year, but I'm damn confident that Dooley won't.

Is that speculation or is it confirmed? I was under the impression that Fulmer is still on the books. Am I wrong?

We are all getting our hopes up again for Gruden...Reminds me of sunshine pumping for the Florida game...Lets hope it don't end the same!

I believe some will say it goes "if you lose Gruden will have your job"

I don't get the infatuation with Gruden..... He ain't leaving that cushion job with ESPN to come here and listen to most of y'all ***** and moan if things don't go the way you expect them to go!!

Whats your insight into Vols recruiting if DD goes and Gruden comes in. My take is 4 year rebuild. Not sure I want to go through that again and thats my main reason for wanting DD to suceed.
There is no rebuild. We have done that over the past 3yrs, as Dooley has done a pretty good job recruiting. Top 10 once and Top 15 twice. That's enough to allow a good coach to take the ball and run with it.

Not to mention, if this season is a major disappointment enough for Dooley to be fired, then you very likely have Bray, Hunter and CP back next year. Gruden would be licking his chops to have this much WR & QB talent....plus a BIG, experienced OL.

Interesting read, from Mr. SEC.com titled "We must be Nearing October...the Gruden talk has begun"

...Now, for those in Tennessee who are certain that Gruden has had contact with Volunteer boosters, we will do a little bit of speculating just for you. It’s possible that Gruden has indeed talked about coaching a team that wears orange with Jim or Jimmy Haslam, the biggest boosters at the University of Tennessee. The Haslams did just buy the NFL’s orange-clad Cleveland Browns and Gruden is an Ohio native who supposedly grew up a fan of the Browns. Current coach Pat Shurmur is just 4-15 since taking over the rebuilding job by Lake Erie. But the previous owners hired Shurmur and GM Mike Holmgren, the Haslams didn’t."

But wouldn't it be funny if The Haslams went after Saban and got him away from Alabama? Talk about possibly cleaning house!

More reason to get our hopes up this time around than 3 years ago(won't get into all of that)...And yes, I was a sunshine pumper for the UF game.:p

Says who? You? When did you become his press secretary? He said himself, recently (approx. 1min mark in the following video), that he would consider coaching again if the "right opportunity" arose.

Doesn't get much more right than having 2 6'4" WR's with NFL talent and a QB who was considered one of the best NFL draft prospects at the position. They just need better coaching.

I can't understand why people actually believe this. The man came out pretty much said he would return to coaching: "And if the right opportunity presents itself, I will come back."

He means Saban to the Browns and Gruden to the Vols. Total coup in the SEC

See my post above regarding the likelihood that any permutation of that events happens. In fact, let me modify it slightly...

It is more likely that the UT biology department finds a unicorn, clones it, teaches it to play football, and it becomes a better coach than Saban.

Just saw Gruden commercial for Hooters. Of course, Hooter's colors are orange and white. Hooters are located in Tennessee. His wife could have easily been a Hooter's girl and she was a UT cheerleader. Plus, the commercial was filmed in Knoxville.

I AM PUMPED!!! Back up the truck Hart. BTW, I think this is the first hire Gruden post of the day.:boobies::pepper::yikes:
