OK but look at it form my point of view, I have said although I would love to have Gruden; the most pressing issue to UT football in the immediate future is getting leadership on the sidelines.

I really wish you could hear the things I have heard from the people that have said those things. I will never betray friends or business connections, and have NEVER said one word about hearing any "Gruden Rumors" but can 100% guarantee you Dooleys job at UT hangs in the balance in Starkville.

He throws fits, blames everyone but himself, and overall carries himself around the team and his subordinates exactly like the spoiled brat that he is and was raised to be. Daddy is not here to bail him out, and I think he would be gone from La Tech had we not hired him.

I assure you I am in this thread mostly because I am as anti-Dooley as one person can be, and except for a few trolls that like to come here and start trouble, I do not get the crap I get in other threads and besides that, as someone who moderates a much larger forum than this, I am not going to be that troll.

Tell us, Medic, why do you have faith in Dooley? What has been done to make you feel that he knows what he is doing?

Boom and Boom...I've been thinking this for a while. The problem is "legacy vs ego" I think Saban will cave to the challenge of building the Browns and redeeming his NFL failure at Miami. Thus ego and drive wins.

Just finished reading the past 200 + posts, met with 2 boosters today and have yet to get any confirmation on the hysteria going on in this thread. Either it requires a secret decoder ring, the hearing of a bat or it is super duper top secret stuff.

The one booster who is close friends with Jim Haslam turned up a goose egg, not saying other rumors are not happening but I have yet to see or hear any proof on my end. As I stated this morning the Grudenites or the Gruden Nation can think what they will, i've just been busy trying to find if the rumor has any truth to it and report my findings.

Perhaps my connections are not as strong as others but they do have a strong track record with me.

Like I said the people I know have not mentioned any names but once again, and I assure you this is true unless my friends in and around the program all lied to me, his job is very much on the line Sat night. Getting Gruden would be awesome, but again I am almost at the point of "any somewhat proven coach and leader" could have done a better job than our experiment in nature vs. nurture. Being a great SEC coach is not genetic!

This whole freaking CJG hysteria amazes me. I've got no way to corrborate or refute this rumor/prediction/report but I just cannot buy into it in any way, shape or form. Now, I do think that if the Vols lose to MSU (which I doubt they will) the wheel of change may be set in motion but I doubt it's going to land on John Gruden's number.

Nothing I have written has been proven wrong because Gruden has no collegiate coaching experience on which to draw from. The same thing holds for my opinion, it is my counter speculation to your speculation and we go in circles.

What is not speculation is Coach Dooley and the UT Volunteer football squad have a great deal to prove and I for one am looking forward to seeing if they are capable of doing so. If not then Coach Dooley, who has been around collegiate football his entire life, knows the consequences and I am quite certain he is in fairly constant contact with those in the AD who keep him well versed in their expectations.

You want to know what drew me to get involved with this thread? The copious quantity of useless drivel regarding J. Gruden. Now if you will pardon me there is a game on I want to watch where I actually have a friend or two on the field that have their own W/L problem. Don't get me started on that one. LOL

I am hopeful, and excited for better days ahead. Hopefully what I've heard is correct. I'm not the only one hearing it though.
