ESPN reporting that Gruden will not be available for Monday Night Football tomorrow night due to being out of town!

Best shot yet, he is not under contract anywhere and from what I hear financially he can basically "call his shot". It's better than 50-50 right now in my mind that Gruden and UT will come to terms.

Today is the first direct information I have gotten or posted about in regards to anyone being contacted specifically. If this gets done Knoxville will explode!

The only other thing i can think of is that Patterson at TCU has Randy Shannon as his LB's coach and that Hart wants to hire Patterson and bring Shannon to be his DC. The info that says that the coach contacted isn't currently employed squashes that though, if it's true.

The thing that will get me thru the season is not watching the rest of the games,too painful.








j/k..I watch all the games even though I know there's a chance that the Vols will get beat like a drum.

If I were Hart I'd give the fans what they want..... Gruden. If it works out, he can take the credit. If it doesn't work out he can still take the credit for making the big hire!

It's cool.
I just relay what I hear.
If CDD had won Hart would have been inclined to keep him. With a loss to MSU "All bets are off"
I do know Hart like Patterson but would have to wait till the end of the season to make that move. the momentum for Gru won't wait till the end of the season.
We shall see.
