I've been trying to communicate this for a week on here Grizz but no one wants to hear it. I'm not saying Gruden can't do it, just that there really is a great deal of difference between dealing with professional athletes and college kids, and professional athletic organizations and NCAA schools.:banghead2:

You can't get an answer because nobody knows it. It is speculation. I have done my best to tell you why I think it will work , but nobody here can see the future. Like I said before , he wouldn't take the job if he thought he couldn't be successful at it. He has turned down tons of jobs. Pro and college. We aren't the only ones who think he can get the job done.

I know I keep bringing this up but I've listened to many Coaches speak on many levels and it's different I've been a volunteer assistant for several years I'm no expert I'm no god I'm going on what I've learned seen and read.

That is the answer. I would rather roll with Chucky than anyone right now.

This is why a lot of great college head coaches are terrible nfl coaches, and vise versa

I would love nothing more than Gruden strolling our sideline

I just don't see it happening.

It's not the money, I just don't think he's ever seen UT as an attractive job.

Not trying to rehash this stuff 2424 and certainly not trying to argue with anyone. Like I said, I'm not saying Gruden can't do it but I don't think everyone understands that it can truly be an entirely different endeavor. Before someone accuses me of saying I'm a pro athlete, I am not nor have I ever been but I do know more than a few.

No arguing at all. Just trying to answer that question the same way I have before. It will be different than the NFL. But nobody knows this more than Jon. Like I said , he won't try it if he thinks he will fail. It wouldn't be worth it. If he takes the job , he expects success. And in my opinion , he will get the job done.

Would you please quit pissing in everybody's Wheaties again. We are on the verge of a very special period of time for the program. Just enjoy it, and stop trying to convince everybody you're right.

I was hoping he would take the job in 2008. I just think the success he was having at the time made him think otherwise. It didn't turn out as he planned. Since then it was sort of a joke to mention his name and not see "He will never leave Tampa". It's not a joke anymore.

How many great NFL coaches have been terrible college coaches?

I'm guessing there aren't many great NFL coaches that have dropped to the college ranks.

Wasn't referring great to nfl coaches coming to college. My bad shoulda cleared that up.

Bring it Boro!!! This will be a great time to be a Vol.

Boro-vol do you see announcement tomorrow or tuesday about dooley?

That's the kind if noise I'm hearing. I think they are trying to keep everybody from staying home on Saturday and having a mostly Bama crowd. The decision to move forward will get the fans squarely behind the team. Like I said before, they may be dangerous when they have nothing to lose. Wouldn't that be something?

The sooner the better

Hey, if the AD hires Gruden I'm all about it with everyone else and I'm certainly not trying to pollute the punch bowl. Yes, J. Gruden knows what he is doing but I also know he realizes it would be a challenge. In fact, the more people who take a realistic approach to his possible hiring, the more patience they would have if a glitch or two comes along down the road. I would prefer this be the last "Big Orange Meltdown" I have to witness, if you know what I mean. I would prefer a Big Orange Football Dynasty.

Hell yes.

SBV just confirmed I believe.

Several have been saying it. The end is near. As said before by BV- could get quiet for a bit. The checkers game is over. The chess game is beginning.

Oh happy B-Day and Anniversary to all that have had recent celebrations.
