I agree that it's our turn. What I disagree with are - circumstantial - hearsay - wishful thinking. I also disagree with verifiable evidence simply because Gruden has never came out and said a thing about being the next coach at UT. And as far as we all know - Hart and UT are firmly behind CDD, or more than likely not willing to pay 5 mill as long as CDD does a serviceable job.

The $5 million is taken care of. No coach is going to openly campaign for this job during the season.

Don't take what I'm saying the wrong way. I'm not trying to bash you when I asked. I just want to know. You hear "big things happening behind the scenes" and you get no answer of what. It's also a message board so you can't take this stuff seriously. And I'm not saying what you know isn't true. Can't blame me for being skeptical though.

Still great news if true. Hearing that both sides are interested at least gives us a chance if a change is needed.

Why won't they openly campaign? Everybody seems to have "insider" info from "TOS" that Gruden is seemingly interested. If Gruden is interested, perhaps our current coach has built things up to make the job at least "interesting" to some big names. The verifiable part is Grudens own words concerning coaching again, possibly at the college level. The circumstantial part is his repeated presence here over the last couple of years.

What I question about your statement concerns Dooley doing a servicable job. On paper, at this moment, we're 3-1. Thing are not likely to look so rosy in 30 days if history is any indication. When does the servicable part start?

Long time solid and credible posters on other sites are posting the Gruden stuff. They think Gruden as our next coach is probable, though not a lock.

I find it very hard to call it probable. I still feel like a lot has to go right.
