Just a hunch, but I think he meant waiting until year 5 to expect 9 wins is a wee bit too long.

Honestly, I think it's fair to expect 8 wins this year and to be competitive in the losses. jmo

You can quit the facade. You have been in so many threads concerning CDD and getting gruden its become comical. Let me be point blank - your hero is not coming to UT. CDD will be here for AT LEAST through this year and next year. At least my puny brain comprehends. Yours doesn't.

Just talked to a source that Gruden is indeed interested, and that Dooley will have to win at least 9 to save his job.

The only news that has been posted was by Montrell Hardy who knows Jay Gruden and said Jon was interested in the Tennessee job , should it be open. That's it. Not about Tennessee being interested. People post that big things are happening and then don't say anything. That leads me to believe that they don't know anything at all.

Charlie Strong would be a fine hire. It's not like the only options are Gruden or a disaster. It's pretty much impossible that we actually find someone worse than Dooley unless we aren't trying.

I'd be more concerned about Gruden's interest than Tennessee's interest.

For the record, I'm not in the "Gruden or bust" camp. I'm a little curious as to why so many think he'd be the Savior of UT football... I think he's an interesting option but I'd really want to know what his staff would look like more than just getting him. I did not like the douchebag in between Fulmer and Dooley but he knew how to put a high profile staff together. I think a top notch staff will be what we need, not just a big name head coach.

I love this thread. Apparently so do the NegaGrudens.....cause they can't stay away.

Gruden is in play, that is the truth. Who knows if it will happen....but if it does it will be the best thing to happen here since
1998.
