We are talking college coaching experience, not WAC, not SB ring.

Has Gruden taken the exam yet that would allow him to talk to recruits?

We were talking college coaching experience. What does the test have to do with anything at this point if he's not currently talking to recruits?

Do you doubt his ability to assemble a staff capable of addressing his mythical recruiting deficiencies, complete with a reputable recruiting coordinator?

The entire argument is conjecture which can neither be proved or disproved until he does it. It does not outweigh the definite positives of a Gruden hire however.

Taking the exam and passing is not the point, if he is seriously considering UT he needs to take it and by taking it would show how much validation can be made on this rumor.

He needs to run take an exam that would take, at the most, 25 minutes to complete when he could just take it after he takes his morning dump in his Knoxville area hotel room? Signing his contract is more difficult than that ****.

...you're getting more and more ridiculous.

Lol. I love how Kiffin bragged about his score on it

Until our coach is gone he cannot show public interest in this job.

As far as validating the rumor....he could give two squirts who believes the rumor at this point.

Hey, if the AD hires Gruden I'm all about it with everyone else and I'm certainly not trying to pollute the punch bowl. Yes, J. Gruden knows what he is doing but I also know he realizes it would be a challenge. In fact, the more people who take a realistic approach to his possible hiring, the more patience they would have if a glitch or two comes along down the road. I would prefer this be the last "Big Orange Meltdown" I have to witness, if you know what I mean. I would prefer a Big Orange Football Dynasty.

I get what you're saying.

With that being said,
Big Orange Football Dynasty=Jon Gruden:dance:

For those in the know.
1. Does Dooley and the assistants with contracts have clauses that offset what UT would owe them if they were employed elsewhere next year?
2. Will Gruden be hired in time to get on the recruiting trail and upgrade our current commitments?
GBO GWO (I like that)

Another typical Grudenite reply that's very mature and intelligent...NOT!!!

I do NOT support a coach...I support my Tennessee Vols which includes all players and all coaches being paid at the current time.

If AD Hart decides a coaching change is needed then I WILL support the next coaching staff while they're teaching our footVol players.

You Grudenites seem to have trouble understanding a real Tennessee Vols fan.

Gruden will NEVER leave his current job to coach at Tennessee.

Tennessee is 1 of the hardest places in the SEC to recruit, coach and win and his current job is extremely easy and pays much more so he'd be a moron to quit what he's doing and come coach at Tennessee.

I do support your right to keep dreaming though so keep stroking each other and dream on.

VFL...GBO!!!

The Gru doesn't contact recruits or 'upgrade' commitments.

They call the Gru. Then they upgrade.

It didn't happen. There are reports all over the net that ESPN has never relased the figure. He may make 4 million after endorsements.

Others have speculated it is south of 3 million. Doesn't really matter....we'll have to spend at least $5 million to get him.....and the word is we'll do it.

Word on VolNation is we'll do it...

You guys are hilarious. We're not in a financial position to drop $5M on a new coach and pay another buyout.

I can't take you seriously.

Weird because I thought it was one of the easiest places in the entire country to recruit.

If Dooley can get top 25 classes...

At least we Grudenites are creative.

The Barbara Doorights rehash old recycled poo-poo over and over.

Tell us something we don't know.

Ainge had a big segment on this on his show this am, basically stating that the boosters were the ones that would foot the bill and we could pay $10million if we wanted to
