Word from him is they are putting a lot of pressure for amid season change, he said the last thing they wanted was to lose the next two as we should, then win out giving Hart the ability to rally the troops to keep him one more year. Hart DOES NOT want to make a move this year, but is pretty much where he doesn't have a choice.

This is from a guy that makes my $3000-$5000 yearly donations look like nothing, he supplied a lot of the money for the new facilities. His contributions over the last few years is in the millions, not thousands. Money talks, and thats what is going on behind the scenes right now it appears. Big Money trying to convince Hart it is ok to make this decision and to get a real coach here.

Edit to add: He shrugged off the Gruden talk with "Every opening has Gruden in the mix".

Glad you're back and that your diving experience was so good. Does it make you wanna go more often? It's not the same but you can dive in rock quarries if you get bored to log some hours. I'm looking forward to the pics.

I dove the rock quarry south of Knoxville when I did my check out dive back in the 90's, it was as cold as witch's nipple.

I don't know the how or when. I just know of a proposed ideal timeline that was given for a new coach.

Quarries are alright if you can't make it to anything better to log hours. The temp will range obviously but the visibility is usually ok.

I want the Vols to win every game but that is simply not going to happen. Based on what I have observed from this team this year, we could easily just beat Troy and KY and lose the rest of the games. If that happens then Hart will be forced to part ways with DD, I just hope the BOT is going to give him the money needed to bring in a good coach.

So Dooley has rebuilt UT? Wow. I missed that one.

Things Dooley has done that I like...

He has restored discipline.

He has restocked the cupboard with pretty good talent

He's put in the VFL program which I think is great and needs to stay here regardless of the coach.

He had some wonderful input in the contruction and design of the new training facility.

Hiring Jay Graham as our RB coach.

Hiring Sam Pittman as our OL coach.

Hiring Ron McKeefry as strength coach.


However it's very apparent that Dooley is a transition guy. He's served as a steward of the program but now it's time to go get us a winner.

They do not make the decisions, you know that. They just tell them what to decide.
