What is the attraction with Gruden? His players hate him, the only offensive scheme he knows is too complicated to run productively at the college level and he's hasn't gone recruiting since Peyton Manning was in Junior High.

He has a super bowl, but I suppose it's better to get a coach who has never even won a division out right.

But he's never won a conference championship or a national championship and in the Land of Pulling Arguments From Our Arses that's all that matters.

So you'll take a guy who's proven he can't win anything in a decade over a guy who has proven he can win at a higher level? Gruden is a risk, and it may not turn out well, but it's certainly a better hire than Leach.

Leach and Miami would a be a great fit...if Miami wants to go 8-4/9-3 every year and never win the ACC title.

With the ACC as bad as it is, they may actually be able to win the conference some years, but I feel like Miami wants to get back to the glory days.
