What stinks is, year 1 to year 2 might not be as easy of a transition or step forward as everyone might hope. in 2013 he will have one of the best O-Line's in the country, every starter (atleast 4) will be gone in 2014 and if Tiny dominates he very well could be a top 10 pick as well. This is losing 5 three and four year starters on the offensive line with very little depth behind them, I think we have a couple really good back ups in Kerby, Crowder, Posey, Jackson but do we have 4-5 NFL Draft picks? Tiny 1st rounder James 1st/2nd rounder Stone 3rd rounder Fulton 2nd-5th round Bullard late draft pick possibly......
Also, our front 7 this year will be relatively experienced and talented - we may lose A.J. Johnson (draft), lose Sapp to Grad at LB lose Brewer LB, lose McCullers, lose Smith at DE, lose Walls, Miller, Hood at DE/DT.....
Secondary - Lose Safety Byron Moore
For a team that's had such poor records, there is a lot of talent on the field in the trenches this coming season. Moving to the 4-3, I'd expect to see us back to 2011ish form when Wilcox had the same bunch of guys and had a top 30 defense.
On Offense we'd lose Rajon Neal, Marlin Lane (in doghouse already, could be purged?), which is ok so we can give the ball to Hurd and hopefully Jabo Lee - Alden Hill.
Basically what I'm saying is 2013 we actually could be pretty good - 6 wins min up to 8 wins with in reasonable reach, unless something miraculous happens 8 wins before bowl game is max. 5 would be min, IMO. 2014 we're gonna be YOUNG, inexperienced, but with dynamic recruits.....very few seniors IMO.
JMO.
2014 may actually be the youth infusion
